I search the web and compare prices and usually find it on Prime for less or close to the same price, but free two day shipping. I have never had any Prime take longer then two days, unless I order over the weekend (Sunday doesn't count). I just ordered Elemis products from them. Most of the Elemis products that QVC sells are much less on Amazon and on prime. The eye cream was $25.00 (qvc $65.00), capsules $53.00 (qvc $105.00). I always check there first before I order anything.
Ditto. I'm in Central NJ & with this horrific wk of weather I even had deliveries on Sat & Sun that were Prime items to make the 2 day delivery. I also ordered new Panasonic home phones on Friday nite @ 9:30p & they were delivered Monday before noon. They rate A+++ in my book.

Because there has been adverse publicity in the financial news about the conflict between amazon and its independent sellers, I won't order from anyone on that website that isn't Amazon. I just don't like the idea that they make millions from companies but don't always back them up when there are problems. I know the way Amazon treats those companies won't necessarily hurt me as a consumer; I just want Amazon to make a fair playing field for their world - as if they care about my little orders!
EVERYTHING regardless of who is the seller, is backed by the same guarantee. If you look, most PRIME are not sold by Amazon.

Amazon is the best all the way around. Can't beat their CS. Love Prime!

We share our Prime account also. It's a GREAT deal when many people can use if for the same cost!
It doesn't apply to free streaming, however.

I only purchase PRIME ELIGIBLE items. I also only purchase from Amazon as the seller. They shipped the wrong item that I had planned on taking along on an overseas trip. When I contacted their online chat they called me, immediately shipped out the correct item "next day delivery" and sent a home pickup for the wrong item. They have great customer service!
I don't use their video streaming services but that is a few of the perks of the Prime membership.
Another thing that I just recently discovered is that if you make all your purchases through their http://smile.amazon.com/ you can choose a non-profit that they will donate a percentage of your purchase. I know that it's most likely a small percentage but if enough people do it each time they shop amazon through SMILE, it can add up, little by little. My donation goes to the French Bulldog Rescue Network.
So PLEASE, sign into Amazon through smile.amazon, always shop through smile.amazon and hopefully all your purchases will be "smile eligible".
I agree. I use AmazonSmile, and donate to Ruff Start Rescue in Mn.
‎02-08-2014 11:09 AM
donation is 0.5% of the eligible purchases.
Always start your shopping at smile.amazon.com
Remember, if you want Amazon to donate to the charitable organization you've selected, you need to start each shopping session at the URL http://smile.amazon.com. You can type smile.amazon.com into your browser's address bar or bookmark it to make it easy to return to AmazonSmile. When you start at smile.amazon.com Amazon will donate 0.5% of the price of your eligible purchases to the charity of your choice.

I do not use Prime. I find that everything I order from Amazon ships very quickly. And most arrive within a couple of days. Plus there are items where you can get shipping for free. I feel that I would definitely be paying for ""shipping"" by using Prime because it would cost me $79 a year. I doubt I am spending $79 a year in shipping on the items I purchase from Amazon. But this is just my opinion.

I use amazon prime all the time and normally I will get my items in 2 days. Sometimes one day depending upon where it's coming from. I live in California so if the item I ordered is in a bordering state I'll get those items faster.
Since I'm in the shipping business I also know that if you place your order by noon (p.s.t.) you have a better chance of making airline's daily cut off time. When airlines are loading cargo, they have a cut off time for when loading must be completed so the flight can leave on time.
If you place your order after 5:00p.m. (p.s.t.) those items usually get shipped out the following morning.
hope this info helps
