When you're subbed to Amazon Prime, does ALL your stuff arrive within 2 days, or just the stuff shipped by Amazon?

Re: Question about Amazon Prime

Any product you buy, regardless of seller, that says Prime should arrive in 2 days with free shipping.

Re: Question about Amazon Prime

In my experience, the items shipped from Amazon warehouse (and Prime eligible) ship on the two-day. Non-Prime items take a few days longer.

I have read that Amazon is considering raising the subscription fee on Prime. I think they just had a price hike a year or so ago for the service.

Re: Question about Amazon Prime

It will have an orange check mark and say "prime" next it the item. Amazon stuff or stuff fulfilled by Amazon. Gotta make sure it has that orange check mark/prime by the item.

Only those are 2 days free. And if you would order one of those on Thursday, you will get it on Saturday! Which is cool.

Re: Question about Amazon Prime

You have to make sure the item has the Prime button next to the add to cart button. Usually it's just stuff that ships through Amazon proper.

Re: Question about Amazon Prime

I'll never know! Because there has been adverse publicity in the financial news about the conflict between amazon and its independent sellers, I won't order from anyone on that website that isn't Amazon. I just don't like the idea that they make millions from companies but don't always back them up when there are problems. I know the way Amazon treats those companies won't necessarily hurt me as a consumer; I just want Amazon to make a fair playing field for their world - as if they care about my little orders!

Re: Question about Amazon Prime

I only order Prime (except maybe one or two items), and the only time it has taken longer is around Christmas, with the weather and UPS fiasco. And even then, maybe 4 days.

Re: Question about Amazon Prime

I've always ordered prime items and they've always come in 2 days. But I also subscribe to prime for the streaming I can do (I dropped cable and am saving an IMMENSE amount of money) and the kindle books I can borrow.

Re: Question about Amazon Prime

I prefer to order Prime and it used to always come in 2 days. In the past 6 mo or so, they say 2 days after shipping....well they do not always ship the day after you order in which case it will take more than 2 days. And if you order on Friday you will probably get it Tuesday. I have had Amazon come via USPS which can be fast or slow....not guarantee on delivery from them ever. I have also had some experience where an item says prime but when I process the cart it changes and has a different delivery date. I am not complaining...it is a great service and considering how expensive shipping is, it gives you so many options and we do order more through Amazon that we would have in the past. Amazon has never increased the Prime price but supposedly they are considering it...they lose money on this for sure, but their objective has always been to increase sales. It was just announced that Newegg (mostly computer stuff) is offering a similar service for $49 per year. So it will be interesting to see what Amazon decides to do.
