Does anyone have any recommendations for puffy eyes.  Thinking about surgery, but want to try alternatives first.  Has anyone used Preparation H?

My sister recently had surgery on her eyes as she had "bags" underneath them. Not sure if this is what you mean by puffy eyes. Occasionally, my eyes get puffy underneath. I just take some moisturizer on my finger and gently massage the puffy area, and it always goes away.

I've heard of people using Preparation H, but have never tried it. The scent of it is so strong. I wonder if it goes away or if you are stuck with the scent all day? Might be worth giving it a try. Good luck!  Woman Surprised

You're going to get a lot of answers here. There are many treatments for puffiness. One type of treatment may work or not for you or anyone else. Sometimes getting to the root  or cause of the puffy problem helps but you may need the help of a professional like a derm or aesthy to fully understand it. Woman Happy Have you gone to a dermatologist?

Is your sister happy with the results of the surgery?

I have not gone to a derm. but have seen plastic surgeon.  I do have fat deposits under my eyes, although at times don't look as puffy..

I went to a cosmetic derm and had skin tightening laser treatments around my eyes. It got rid of the bags and crepiness all round. It was expensive but will last for years and saves me time and money spent on eye products.

I have had puffy eyes since day one. Mine are hereitery and from allergies. I did ask my eye dr. about using prep h and he had a "fit".  People claim that it works but I would not attempt it with all of my issues.

I have found the following products that have made a difference for me:

First Aid Beauty Eye therapy cream I I use this in the am )

Dr. Deneses eye fixxer upper for upper and lower.(O ise at night)

Dr. Denese MD 33 eye cream (I use at night --this is a new find so I'm alternating the two different products until my jars are empty)

I have seen a difference in the amount of puffiness as well as the darkness in the under eye circles.

There also is a product : Dr. Densee puffy eye (I think that's what it's callled---it's in a blue tube) You put a fw drops under your eyes in the am. I used this for year and it seems like it's the results that people talk about who do the prep h trick. I used it for years and then found the eye products that help reduce the problem that you have.

All of these products gave me results. My case is really severe so I use more than the average person.

@lainey1, Yes...she looks much better! She had her upper lids and lower lids done also as they were interfering with her vision...so insurance covered a lot of that. However, the bags under her eyes were not covered. I don't know where they came from as no one else in our family has those "fat bags"... is what the plastic surgeon called them. She said it still cost her a lot of money given her co-pays, deductibles, and then the removal of the fat bags...which were not covered. She said she paid out about $10,000! Woman Tongue
