Re: Products that Pill

I have used that eye serum and never found the need to put a cream on top it, I think of it as a stand alone product

Serums for day, creams for night use.

@SilleeMee    Is the fan just a 'personal' size fan...for sitting on a desk, etc.

I think I need to order one.  I do give time between applications of products but probably not enough.  No way can I give 20 minutes wait time as suggested on another thread.

@Mom2Dogs

Yes, you can set that fan on your desk or pick it up with your hand. It's stands about 10" tall and the head is 4" across. The head can twist off and under it there is a USB port to use to charge your phone.

Has 5 speeds.

@JudyL  Good morning. Have you checked the dates or

know when your eye products were purchased?

I aso agree with @SilleeMee  about letting each product dry thoroughly before going to the next.

Sometimes if one is older, it can throw off the rest and it pills when applied. Just a suggestion. Most of the time, when it happens to me, it's either that or the products just don't jive together. This happens with primers, moisturizers, serums, sunscreens, foundations, concealers, eye creams, etc.

There are many products that go into skincare and makeup. It's best if they're fresh and compitable. I have my products dated w/ a sharpie so I know. It hurts, but even if not used up, I toss them.

Hope this helps a bit.

I was thinking that perhaps there is something in there that actually is stickier, which would make it pill.

The ingredient list is pretty long....there are 3 gums in there. However, I don't know if any of these would be to blame.

In order to use it, though, what if you press it into the skin, then also press the eye cream, too? But to apply makeup over, you may still get pilling.

@Shanus - None of the products I'm using are old.  I just recently purchased them.  Thanks for your suggestions!

@JudyL , I can relate to the pilling or flaking,  I HATE when that happens,  then the more you try to swipe it off, the worse it gets.  I've actually had to re-wash my face at times.  As me, what I've found is that some products just don't play well with others, no matter how long drying time is.  I threw out EStee Lauder hydro foundation, because no matter what used it pilled, and besides I didn't like the application.   I've used certain spf lotions that did that too.   It's really a matter of finding the right combo for everything.   I was using Dr.Brenner hyaluronic serum, liked it, no problems with make up, then the last 2 bottles, it balled and rolled off.  I believe they changed something,  I know I didn't.   As for Skinn products,  I've tried too many to name, and personally I actually hated some of them, or never saw any improvements.  Threw ALOT out.  I won't buy his skincare anymore.   I recently bought the Daily peel scrub...dont think it does much either, because it does not remove any flaking I occasionally get after  retinol.   Back to the subject of pilling...As for now everything I'm using is playing nicely with each product.   Hope you work this out and no more pilling.   Process of elimination.

Also, just wanted to share...idk if you followed my thread on the under eye area?  Had so much trouble with layering products that either creased or balled...then @Shanus and others suggested a couple of products and tips on applications and everyone is getting along...amazing huh.

@Dazlin - it's funny how some products work for one but not another.  I love the SKINN products that I'm using right now - cleansers, exfoliators - but the verdict is still out on the Age Reset.  Although, last night there didn't seem to be any pilling, howver, I did end up waiting longer after application of the Age Reset.  Not on purpose, just got distracted and ended up having a logner wait time.  By the way, I really like the SKINN DermaPeel - not the daily one though, the one that you use a couple times a week.  Reviews have said it works better than the daily one.

Did see part of your thread on your under eye area.  Can't remember what the thread was called do you?  Think it was under one of @Shanus question and answer posts?  Would like to go back and read and re-read parts of it.

Thanks for responding and hope you are having a nice day.

@JudyL , glad your liking most of your products.

Good to know about Skinn dermapeel too...im always looking for a thorough scrub that exfoliates both physically and manually.  Dr.Dubrow had one I loved, but discontinued it and I've never found anything close.

Yes, the discussion I had was under Shanus questions.

Enjoy your day as well 🙂
