Problems With Shellac Nails

This is my day for questions.

I had had Shellac nails for about a year, and no problems. They looked perfect for 2 weeks. About a month ago they started coming off and I had some major white spots on my nail, so the nail gal and I decided to go with a natural manicure. Of course two days later, two of my nails have chipped.

Has anyone had any Shellac problems, and now that I am back to the natural manicure any top coats that you really recommend. I have no idea why just two days after the fact they are coming off. Has anyone had luck with prostrong products.
