Proactiv's celebrity shell game

There's a new article in Salon on Proactiv's celebrity shell game where the author goes into how the company pays stars big bucks to endorse a product not very different from what you can buy in a drugstore for a lot less. Makes me wonder how many other products we buy simply because a star recommends them.
