Proactiv (ordered from QVC) vs. Proactiv by Guthy Renker

My son has been wanting me to order Proactiv for him. I was wondering if the Proactiv on QVC is the same product that is advertised on the infomercials by Guthy-Renker. I read one time that the WEN product put out by Guthy-Renker is a cheaper version and doesn't have all the same ingredients as the WEN sold on QVC. So, I just need to know if this is the case with the Proactiv. He really wants to try Proactiv and I may just try it myself. But, I want to get the best product and a good deal. Any input appreciated. Thanks!
