Prime Prometics Color Changing Foundation

Has anyone else tried this? I keep trying to find my holy grail in foundation. Gave this a try after reading all of the wonderful things. It's interesting. Very lightweight. Goes on white and changes to your complexion. I have layered it and I still cannot get it to cover my red spots. Very disappointed. I have what I call a light medium. Yensa is the brand I normally use but after reading the other post about Giorgio Armani, I am tempted but tired of spending money on foundation that doesn't work for me....heavy sigh 😕

@Seminole2

Have you tried a green corrector before foundation?  It cancels the red.

I keep getting pop up ads from Il Makiage - they have a green corrector but the reviews are mixed.

Maybe a tinted primer underneath?  I have tried a couple of those color changing foundations in the past and have not been very happy with them.

Re: Prime Prometics Color Changing Foundation

I just tried this because I was intrigued by it. It’s definitely a hard no for me. It does change color, it is easy to apply. However, the color on me was easily two shades lighter than my skin tone which is light/medium. It looked like I was wearing a lighter color mask as my neck appeared darker. Mind you, I put on one thin layer and gave it about an hour in the event the color changing had to take time to completely get there. After an hour, it had also settled right into every fine line and wrinkle. I think I’ll stick with my Doll 10 tinted serum - color match is good, no settling.

I have to just learn to stick with what I like and not get my head turned by the newest thing, lol. You win some, you lose some 🤷🏼‍♀️

Re: Prime Prometics Color Changing Foundation

i have put it on twice, both times used Tatcha primer.  I am very fair.  Liked how it looked but.....it for me is heavily fragranced and it takes about an hour before i can't smell it.  Also, it seems to melt on my chin.  i am going to try it with a setting powder and see if that helps.  Before it melted it cover my little veins on my chin.  So my results are mixed.  Hope this helps.

Re: Prime Prometics Color Changing Foundation

I just tried this for the first time this morning. So far I like it. I followed the directions and put on a light application. Waited awhile and applied second light layer again. I have uneven skin tone and redness in my skin. My complexion is fair to light. I am impressed with the color and coverage. There is no pilling or streaking just good even coverage. I didn't notice a fragrance at all. I have tried so very many foundations from high end department store to drug store  to no avail. So far I really like this one.  I guess time will tell if it continues to wear well through out the day. Oh I also got the mascara. Both were on sale.

@50Mickey enjoy!  I donated mine to a women's shelter last month.  I didn't notice the fragrance either.  The brush is nice and I still use it for my Yensa.  Staying with that, seems to work the best for my full face kind of day.
