My sister and I split the IT twofer Celebration Foundation. We've both got drawers full of products that didn't work for older skin---Celtic types who misspent their youth sunbathing.
She won the brush; I use the sponge. Light Medium worked for both of us.
So easy. She uses a primer; I plop it on over Mayumi's squalane. Both celebrating!

Mally Visible Skin, MAC Mineralize Skin Finish, Lancôme Dual Finish, Laura Geller Balance and Brighten, IT regular Celebration (NOT the Illuminating one), and from the drugstore (I actually have always purchased it at Sally Beauty Supply) Palladio Wet/Dry. The Palladio gets a 79% repurchase rating on Make Up Alley from 377 reviews, which is really good. As it is the lease expensive, that one might be a good one to try first. You can look at all the reviews of these foundations and others mentioned at makeupalley dot com.
I also use a couple of drops of oil before using powder foundation. I spray a two of sprays of a moisturizing toner into my hand, then 2 drops of argan oil, then use both hands to mix them together just a bit and then use that mixture on my hands to moisturise my face and neck. If it's really dry (my skin or in winter when everyone is blasting the heat) I might add moisturizer on top. Usually Laura Geller regular Spackle as primer is enough though, and I don't even need that when there's a decent humidity level.
You can make your own moisturizing toner, just mix 1 ounce of glycerin into 8-10 ounces of distilled or mineral water, and put it in a spray bottle. Shake before using. It works to get rid of the powdery look of some powder foundations or after setting powder over liquid or cream foundation. Also works as a refresher for your make up later in the day, just be careful of your mascara if you don't wear waterproof. I don't and I have never had a problem, but maybe I have just been lucky and it doesn't bother my mascaras. You could test it out at the end of the day when you are ready to take your makeup off.

I have been using Lancôme Dual Finish and it is, by far, my favorite!...I have oily skin and this works out great for me...I have good skin...thanks to my Mom...and this gives me just the right amount of coverage and helps somewhat with the oily skin....just have to touch up once throughout the day...and I just let my skin "shine through" when it wants...lol...I don't really care for a totally matte look anyhow.

I don't use it as much as when younger, but hands down my favorite is Dual Finish/Lancôme. May be used wet/dry.
I often use a brush to apply where I want a little more coverage.
