Laura Geller Baked Elements.
I agree. I could never wear her balance and brighten stuff but love the Baked Elements foundation!

I use powder foundation everyday and have tried all listed here but the Urban Decay.
The one powder foundation that I go back to again and again... is MAC Studio Fix powder foundation. I have never found a better color match (NW22 which is a cool toned light medium) better finish for my combo skin, and long wearing.
I do try just about everything that comes down the pike because I prefer a powder foundation and I am always thinking someone will beat the MAC.
I currently have and use occasionally: Lancome Duel Finish which I do like but doesn't wear as long, Clinque's newest powder foundation which I like also, can't remember the name and it wears very well and Makeup Forever Duo Mat which is probably at the bottom of the list of the ones I have.
I have tried all variations of Bare Minerals and IT and everything else the Q offers and none measure up to the MAC Studio Fix for me.
Some people say they have breakouts from MAC foundations, but I have the most sensitive and allergy prone skin in the world and have never had a problem with MAC.
If you have not tried MAC Studio Fix, I would recommend trying it. They have so many shades I can't imagine not finding a shade to match.
I apply powder foundations with a damp Beauty Blender for the best finish and long wearing.... but I also apply with a brush if I am time pressed.

The coverage is light to medium and can be built up. I use Light Neutral.
The company's description:
Want a foundation that delivers amazing coverage, lasts all day and works wet AND dry? Naked Skin Ultra Definition Powder Foundation delivers. Our advanced, velvety formula provides weightless, buildable coverage with a luminous, demi-matte finish for a Naked Skin feel.
While traditional powder foundations can be dry and look dusty or cakey on the skin, Naked Skin ALWAYS blends gorgeously and wears comfortably. Like the rest of our Naked Skin lineup, Naked Skin Powder Foundation diffuses light to blur fine lines and wrinkles to make you look professionally retouched. It’s also ultra forgiving: apply more in the areas where you need extra coverage and all you’ll see is beautiful, perfected skin.
Coated, micro-milled powders give Naked Skin Powder Foundation its creamy feel, while HPP (Highlighter Performing Pigments) Technology provides rich color, long-lasting elements and the perfect level of coverage to even out your skin tone
Where is this sold? I've never seen it anywhere I shop.
See @Trix's Post #30. :-) The only thing I would add is that you can also find UD products on beauty.com.

Suzy, I read your review the other day and purchased yesterday at Sephora. Thank you, as it is the nicest powder foundation I have ever used. Now I have to try Paula's Choice skin care....![]()

@Trinity11, oh, I'm so glad that you like it. I always feel a bit reluctant to make recommendations because it's so subjective.
ETA: Of course, you can also use this as a finishing powder over liquid foundation.

@rnmom wrote:doglover3-I've seen a lot of good reviews about this liquid foundation too and I've thought about trying it next when I use up some of the foundations/BB creams here that I already have. What do you use to apply it with?
I love the real techniques brushes from Ulta as well as Walmart. If you want a more medium to full foundation use the real techniques expert face brush but if you want a lighter coverage use the real techniques stippling brush. I get them at Ulta when on sale either BOGO 1/2 or buy 2 get one free. They aren't expensive though to start with.
The Mally Defender BB cream foundation here on QVC comes with a brush but I still prefer the RT brushes and most like and prefer the real techniques expert face brush.
The Mally defender bb is 1.8 ounces where most foundations are 1 ounce. This doesn't take much to go easy when applying. I just put a dot on the top of the brush, dot around my face than using a circular motion blend in, gives a wonderful finish.
I like both of these, just depends on what you prefer Mally Defender BB or L'Oreal Tru Match Lumi(isn't at all greasy or shiny looking). Both are really very very nice. I think you would be happy and like either one.

doglover3- Thank you so much for you detailed explanation, I really appreciate it!
03-16-2016 12:56 AM
quite welcome. If you have an Ulta close to you go and try the Mally defender bb there. It does run light. I use light in almost nay other foundation but use this in medium light. It doesn't take a lot so lasts a long time and looks and feels great on.
I do like the L'Oreal tru match lumi as well and have that in 3n.
I have a light complexion. When BE serum foundation first came out I got that in bare shell, light in IT CC cream which is way too thick and way too heavy for me, felt like I had a mask on all the time, not nice. I know a lot love this IT CC but for me it feels way too thick and too heavy when on and believe me I didn't use much at all.
