@SandGirl I've tried all you mentioned and others.

My skin is too dry and old for any success using powders.

@granddi   thank you.  What have you found that works that doesn't make lines look worse?  I have the It Cosmetics foundation everyone loves but I don't love it at all...

I  very thinly use lancome Teint Idole Ulta Wear.

I've used BM, Laura Geller, Studio Fix, and liked them all. I tried

Doll 10 TCE Serum Powder Foundation

about a year ago and LOVE it! I use Light Medium and stocked up in case they don't continue it.

Re: Powder foundation that won't settle into lines?

Hi Sandgirl,

The one I tried most recently, as in last year, and have been the most pleased with, is Jane Iredale. I also use her Primer. The powder doesn't settle into fine lines, and it lasts all day. The longer you wear it the prettier on the skin it looks.

I hesitated for years trying this powder foundation because of the price point, but it really is one of the best I have tried. I am fair so I use the Ivory shade. I got a sample kit which was much less than the product itself because I didn't want to spend the money and have it not work.

I tried the finishing spray that came with it, but didn't care for it. The primer and the powder foundation, however, are wonderful.

I purchased the brush she sells with it, and that gives a heavier coverage, however, most days I like a light coverage, so I use a fluffier, less dense brush for application.

Hope that helps.

You might want to try the tinted moisturizer. Laura has one.

I cannot wear any powder. Even the older models show powder in lines on the Q.

I just avoid powder altogether, in blushes, eye shadows.

I don't think it is as much age as it is your skin condition.

Re: Powder foundation that won't settle into lines?

Not really a powder foundation but I am enjoying Laura Mercier bluring powder in the rose! It does well with a primer/sunscreen and I use a fan brush or her puff to apply a tiny amount. I have some lines, and it doesn't settle in them.
