I have one of those steamers with a face mask that I use when I have a cold and It really helps, esp. since I can't use a lot of decongestants and ibuprofen. I got it from QVC in 2015 (don't think they sell it any more). It is MyPurMist, came with three masks, and a strap to hold it around your neck. After the steam is finished, about 20 minutes, a fan comes on for 8-10 minutes to dry it out internally, which is good to avoid mold. It was pricey at $150, but worth it to me. Probably can find it and other brands on Amazon or elsewhere, maybe for less.

@Love orchidswe stopped at Target on our way home from lunch yesterday for me to pick up some tea, but DH said they had the MyPurMist on their website and he wanted to see if they had it in the store. He doesn't know about setting your store in the settings. Anyways, he couldn't find it and he didn't ask. So, today, I look online at Target and find out they DO have it in that store that could be available for pickup within 2 hours. But, they had a cheaper model, that plugs in, that was onine only. When I read the Q&A I discovered that those two models are only supposed to be used with their purified water. You're not supposed to use distilled water in it. So, you're stuck buying their little water tubes. Not sure if they are saline which I'm sure I could probably get cheaper. I used to have to buy those for my cat's albuterol treatments.

Anyways, I notice that Target had a couple of other options, one of them being a Vicks Personal Steam Inhaler, and it's only $55. On top of that, you can use Vicks pads in them for an added vapo steam. I told him he might check at BBB and see if they happened to have it and then he could use his coupon. But, either way, I just saved him $60-$100.

Funny, the Vicks option didn't come up when I looked for similar items on Amazon. None of their options were something designed to be used in the same manner.

My portable humidifier came today. I haven't opened it yet. But, thinking about humidity levels, we had rain all off and on all day today and still tonight. A warm front is going through and I live in the nice and humid Southeast. Tormorrow's low will be at midnight tonight at aroung 60 degrees F.

I checked the greenhouse humidity level and it's at 96.9%, but inside is at 45.9%. Huge difference. I guess a lot of that is the heater. Yes, the heat is on; I'm terribly cold natured. Maybe the humidity level inside will bump up some now that I have turned the thermostat down to sleeping temps. The heat probably will not even come on again all night with those temps. According to the Mayo Clinic, a desirable indoor humidity level is between 30-50%, so no need for a humidifier tonight. It'll be somewhat like that for most of the week and then a cold front will come though and I may need it then.

My hair is kinda going crazy though which is usually a low humidity problem.

Gotta stock up on the distilled water. Publix hasn't even had any for the last two weeks. I'm also using it in my Aerogarden, trying to grow filet green beans.
