Does anyone find that the lotion actually firms the body skin as they say it does? I thought it DID when I was using it years ago and then stopped and want to try it again but dont want to waste money if it doesn't work. They kept saying it firmed the other night.

Thank you

Re: Philosophy lotion question

The only thing it does for me is make my skin smell good for one second then (since it's changed) the scent is gone!  It does moisturize my skin some and is the least greasy of most of the othe one's I've tried.

As far as MY skin is concerned, if it tightened or made any difference, I'd notice it.  If you ever find something that really works, post it.

None of them REALLY works.

Yes! The emulsion lotions.

Philosophy Body Emulsion Lotion is still the only thing I use after my bath and/or shower. It doesn't smell like the original product, but it's the only lotion that isn't greasy feeling. This lotion also is quickly absorbed into my moist skin or dry hands (any time of the day or night).

As far as firming the body? I honestly do not know. Was slender and toned when I purchased the first bottle of it years ago. Still am the same size and am still slender and toned decades later. Don't use it on my back (can't reach it without dripping on the floor), stomach or rear end. Yet they remain the same size and shapes. Have never dieted. Doubt anything applied to the body can firm sagging skin. Don't all the creams/salves/ointments/drops claim to do miracles, too? They are all potions for those to fight aging. Just another "Let the buyer beware" statement IMO.

I buy the product because I love it as a body lotion. Period. And, yes, some men do have great noses and tell me how nice my fragrance is! I haven't worn any cologne or perfume since my husband's death in 2005.  Smiley Happy

Re: Philosophy lotion question

On HSN Perlier has a couple skin tightening creams for arms.  I like their products, but did not take a chance on the "tightening" creams.   I also use a lot of Philosophy and the body emulsion products seem very similar to the body lotions.  I don't notice any particular firming, but also I rotate my items so don't use the body emulsions every day.
