Re: Philosophy Question (From A Guy)...

I posted in the duplicated thread, but it's been removed by the Mods.

I think the scents are very nice.  My adult son used to like Gingerbread Man, and Sweet Vanilla Fig (which was not sweet at all, but had a deep musk scent that seemed quite masculine).

Having said that, I stopped using Philosophy shower gels years ago.  They load up on chemicals that I try not to use.  But also, using their shower gels was like trying to get clean with a moisturizing lotion.

Their shower gels just did not clean well enough for me.  If I look at my towel after drying myself, and it's not clean by a long shot, that means the "soap" didn't do it's job.

Notice the presentations never never emphasize how clean you can get from them.  They focus on moisturizing (they do) and the scent.  No thanks.

I switched to Beekman bar soaps that clean and moisture beautifully for me.

Re: Philosophy Question (From A Guy)...

I like Their shower gels, and my granddaughters love them. I do agree though that they smell nice and make your skin super soft, but they don't really clean as well as others that I have used. Beekman is a good one,and its a clean brand, none of the chemicals that Philosophy's shower gels still have in them.... Korres is another nice one and prices are reasonable.
