Hey all,

I had QVC running in the background this morning and they were doing their 5 or 6 pack set of different scents and I heard the vendor comment that you can use these bath & body gels as shower gel, shaving gel, hand soap, shampoo, etc...basically from head to toe and it will leave your skin very soft and smooth!  If anyone can confirm the above I would appreciate it. (or was the vendor exaggerating)?

I know that Philosophy is a very popular brand but I wanted to ask something.  Many years ago, I had bought my Grandmother (who is now passed) a Christmas set of the shower gels and they were extremely disappointing.  While I didn't use them, we smelled them when she opened up her gift and they bottles barely had any scent to them at all.  She kept them but I don't know if she ever used them or not.  So that's another concern of mine.  If I'm going to try this out for myself, I want their to be a scent, I don't want to buy something and then barely be able to smell it.

Oh and can guys use this too or is it only for Women?  I seem to remember Shawn saying her husband and son's use them too!

They have scent when you use them, but it does NOT linger on your skin

I used to like the brand but I no longer use it.  It's okay and my daughter still uses it  for shampoo and bodywash.   I have moved on to Beekman products, I like a more pure product for my skin.

If you prefer a  more natural type of product, Phil is not your brand. Full of sulfates, chemicals and artificial dyes. I stopped buying these shower gels long ago.

@Drewps5co0tt  - The scent smells nice in the bottle and shower, but does not remain after you get out of the shower - which is what is intended.

They're nice for the shower.  Never tried it for shaving.   My grandkids (boys) use these shower gels head-to-toe.

Remember, you can return them if you're not satisfied.

My husband likes all of the philosophy shower gels I have in the shower, he even uses the purity for a face wash.

Both of my boys in their 30's love the body washes and use them everyday they lean towards the food scents like Animal Cracker, Cin Buns and Fresh Cream. The scent does not linger on you after the shower but the bathroom will smell very nice. I have found that the Fresh Cream scent is a little stronger , but if you want the smell to last you can get the body lotion to go with the body wash. The lotion is very good as well. We have used Philosophy for years and it does make your skin feel soft and clea, I hope this helps.

@Drewps5co0tt - My son likes Gingerbread Man, which smells like ginger ale or Sprite. Like everyone else said, the scent doesn't stay with you, but you will enjoy it while you're using it!

I like almost all things made by Philosophy.  The 3 in 1's are my favorite.  I could never tolerate The Gingerbread Man though. To me, it smells like lemon pledge.

My husband uses Philosophy shower gel every day.  His favorite scent is Basil Cucumber Cooler.  I keep it in stock at all time!  Another scent he likes to use is Rainforest Dew.  We keep both in the shower and both of us use them.
