Can anyone tell me how to make the Purity Made Simple pump unscrew and pop up so it will pump? Usually there is an arrow on the cap indicating to press down and turn counterclockwise but this says nothing. Tired of pressing and turning, not worth getting carpal tunnel. Can someone help me? Thanks!

I've had that same problem.  I usually look at the top under a bright light and see if I see an arrow for which way to turn (sometimes there is nothing there as in your case).

I just keep turning left or right until it opens.  I know it's aggravating.

The last time it happened I bought the bottle from Ulta and I returned it and exchanged for one that worked.  The saleslady gave me another new/unused large pump just in case the new bottle quit working for some reason.

I would probably again return to the place of purchase for another.  Those Philosophy bottles aren't cheap.  I used to always buy the really large bottles.

@Desi, Tighten the bottom of the top to the right then turn the part that is supposed to pop up to the left. I hope this works for you.

Thanks so much for replying. I asked my husband which of course wound up with him yelling at me and even he couldn't get it open. Usually he can. I think this is going back - and it came from QVC.

Thanks, but nope, that is how it SHOULD open, but not this one.

@Desi   Sorry you're having so much trouble with this but you're not alone. I've actually taken pliers to one and of course broke the whole thing... finally transferred the product to some other bottles but I quit buying for this reason. Good luck 👍

That ‘s why I stopped buying from Philosophy I could never get the pumps to work - wherever
bought the product !

I have one in a bottle I am using. Eventually I could use that one when this bottle is used up. It just seems like a known issue Philosohy should have fixed by now. Thanks for the suggestion.

@Desi - I've usually found that I have to press down (hard) on the top of the pump as I turn it, to unlock it.  Works every time for me; not just with Philosophy, but a lot of pumps are like that.
