I recently purchased the Peter Thomas Roth Peptide 21 Peel Pads.  When I opened them they smelled kind of bad, like they were old.  Are they supposed to smell like this?

I've had those on my wish list because I've been using the Peptide 21 moisturizer and really like it.  Is there a date on the peel pads jars?  Like most beauty items, if they were sealed then they should be fine.

Where were they bought? If it was an authorized seller and they were sealed they should be fine. If they were bought at an outlet store or eBay I might question if they're counterfeit.

You can check for the mfg date code on the jar or label and search sites like checkfresh dot com to see the production date.

@Etoile308

I agree 100%!  I assumed she bought them here, but you are right about eBay.  I've read enough about proven beauty counterfeits on eBay that for no amount of savings, will I buy from there.

I bought the peel pads from QVC.  I went on Cosmetic Calculator and it showed the code 0B31 which was on the bottom of the jar was made Feb. 2020.  I'm going to call their site tomorrow and see if I can get more information.  I really don't wannt a product that was made a year ago.

@Blackcatmom  I've had that happen twice with these pads and his original peel pads that were discontinued. I've now changed to Dr. Gross's pads. They're more expensive, but very effective and worth the money. They come in different strengths. I now use them in my practice, too.
