Been using his retinol fusion PM for about 5 days now. I can already can positive results! Last night I noticed red areas that were itchy. I cleanse my face with his cloud cream cleanser, and use the same moisturizer in the daytime only. I only use his retinol product at night. Should I be using the moisturizer over the retinol product at night??? Thanks for any help~![]()

@emmysmom I’d suggest stopping the retinol for a few days and see if you have any sensitivity to the product. If the redness remains, you may have started too aggressively. Wait for it to clear and start back every other night. Let me know what happens. Good luck.

Retinol is tricky, it is supposed to peel off dead skin, etc more than a normal peel would, so yes my opinion is you are going to have some redness and flaky-ness. My dermatologist gives it to me once a year to get the junk off my face haha. and she always says, you are going to be red and flaky. you can always do it in stages. Most important take vitamin c when you're doing retinol, it helps with collagen and healing

I always use a moisturizer over the retinol fusion pm. It's not terribly moisturizing I think you need it. Try every other day with the retinol as well, till you're fully adapted to it.

Yes. Use a lot of moisturizer and hydrating serum over top when you are using retinol. For the first 6 months to a year it will dry you out like crazy. If retinol is affecting you this much now, it will just get worse if you continue as you have been. Supposedly, the dryness and increased exfoliation will level off and return to normal after 6 months to a year. In the meantime, hydrate and protect.
You really need to back off since you have had a reaction. In my experience, the retinol fusion PM is quite mild. Take a week off with just moisturizer at night and no retinol to normalize. Then start using the retinol every other night. (Everyone else has suggested this for a good reason.) Put it on your freshly cleansed skin, rest for 20 minutes to let it sink in, then put on a hydrating serum and a good cream. Every other night for a month or two before switching to every night. Good luck!

I to am seeing good results from this Retinol product. I have very sensitive skin and it seems to be doing ok. I do use a moisturizer after applying the Retinol. I wait about 15 minutes then do my night cream. Watch his demonstration, I think he reccomends moisture after applying the retinol. Hope this helps. It's a wonderful product.
