Re: Peter Thomas Roth - Too much plastic surgery??

When women have work done, they tell them to change their hairstyle. When men have it done, they tell them to grow a beard. The first time I saw him, I couldn't tell it was he. I thought he had gotten a representative.

What a makeover! I really like the beard on him as PTR doesn't have a strong jawline. You go around once, PTR may go around like he wants to.

I just think it's odd that he doesn't own it, ESPECIALLY when the hostess has mentioned how great he looks. He's in the business of skincare, beauty, and looking better, so why wouldn't he cop to the work he's had done like Joan rivers used to. nothing wrong w getting any kind of work done, but it seems kind of odd if he's selling things to make people look better, yet HE doesn't rely solely upon his own products to make him look better.

It's not odd at all. If he's had his face lifted, that doesn't mean he doesn't have good skin care. Products don't take care of what gravity does. You don't get a face lift and come out with better skin than you went in with. Same skin, just lifted.

I don't think that he has had plastic surgery... The changes I see are his weight loss and beard!

The TSV is another PTR winner!

If I had spent a lot of money on outrageously overpriced skin care products that promise me younger looking skin and then found out that the creator or vendor for those products had undergone plastic surgery I would also feel very betrayed.  The same comments were made when it became obvious that Dr. Danese had gone under the knife.  These vendors sell a bill of goods about what their product lines can do to stave off the natural effects of aging.

Sorry  @KathyPet  but no one is "betraying" you or selling you a bill of goods ........  you are making  an apples and oranges comparison.

While there are a lot of good skin care products out there, NONE of them can do what a surgical procedure can do ... they are NOT interchangeable.

Also, I know several women who use good skin care products, have a good skin care regimen,  and still have a little something extra done now and then  ... line fillers, dermabrasion, facials, botox, brow lift ... whatever.

It often just depends on how much disposable income you have to work with.

Well, he should have a boatload of disposable income for such things.  Good grief!  Apparently a lot of us have lots of disposable income as well!  LOL!!!! Woman Wink

Wow I just tuned in in the middle of the show and was blown away .  He may have had some work done but I also think it's a combo of the hair and beard.  I think he looks great , good for him.

Last time I saw him on the air, he said he was now wearing his teenaged son's clothes, very big change in him.
