If you have senstive skin, PLEASE HEED MY WARNING!
I do not have sensitive skin. Within my skincare routine, I exfoliate, use AHA's, Retin-A, and masks several times a week (on a schedule, not all at the same time). Every now and then I get a dud product and move on, but for the most part I've been very happy with the products I use regularly and the results they've provided. Even so, that doesn't stop my curiosity and I dabble in trying some new things now and then. I recently purchased a jar of Peter Thomas Roth Irish Moor Mud Mask - found it on Amazon at a much lower price than on the Q. I did the mask yesterday morning and ended with, red, blotchy, irritated, dry, rough skin around sides of my mouth. I've been applying my Mizon Snail Recovery Gel Cream thoughout the day. It has a soothing feel as I apply and is helping to heal the areas. Still disappointed in the PTR mask, though. ![]()

Interesting. And thank you for posting this information. I was just getting ready to send it back. My 29 year old daughter told me it is not for her OR me as we do not have oily skin. She said it would dry us out terribly. She advised me to send it back-doesn't even want to try it. I am sure it is good for some people, but I trust her as she gathers extensive information on skincare and makeup. Was looking forward to experimenting.
Love his other products.

Was it sold by Amazon? Or by an independent seller on Amazon? If not sold direct from Amazon, maybe you got a knock-off?
A seller with a 5 star rating (as a seller, not for the actual product), and fulfilled by Amazon. It's going back and the return label has an Amazon address on it.

@JeanLouiseFinch wish I would have mentioned my experience with this particular mask before...I purchased the trio of PTR masks with the pumpkin enzyme/rose/gold masks and received a sample of this Irish moor mud mask...I decided to try it one night...erm it is VERY drying and harsh and I have practically bulletproof skin...no breakouts or rashes but boy, I had to use my Skinn combo of nutri vitale and copper to calm my skin down...it felt hot and burning almost immediately but I left it on for about 5 minutes (5 minutes too long lol) It is a loser IMO except for those with VERY OILY skin and even then pulling all the oils out of your pores could make your pores secrete more oil as it is very stripping...lesson learned and glad I got a sample to test before I bought a whole jar of it...HTH's

Oh, that's OK @Krissy_1968. It really surprised me though because I couldn't remember when I've had a reaction like that. I'll be sticking with Fango. I agree with you that drying products will actually encourage more oil production to make up for the loss. My experience isn't the end of the world, but I'm glad I found out before the return deadline. It's getting dropped off at the UPS box tomorrow.

Used his Rose Mask and it kept feeling like it was watering/burning my eyes while on and could not wait to remove!! It was not applied under my eyes either. Well that was enough to never use again!!...and I've used many other enzyme type masks with no problem.
I found it strange it was not an AHA product or an "active" type mask either as Rose seems so "benign" if you will lol.
Sticking with my calming masks and gentle enzyme mask only now.
Good to know about this Irish mask....was eyeing it up! not now.

JLF and Krissy, thank you both so much for the heads up on this. I was intrigued by this product, but no more. I'm so sorry to hear how harsh it was on each of you. Yikes!!
