Watch something else. I think you would be a fool to watch something you find so offensive. To each their own. I would never ridicule anothers choice in skin care. It is their money we are talking about? You aren't paying for it, right? LOl

No kidding. Such cattiness. Why does anyone care what others want to spend for, well, anything?

Last time I checked this was a forum. No cattiness here. If you want to spend a $1000.00 on a 2 ounce facial cream be my guest. Personally I wold rather keep my hard earned money in stocks, but hey that's just me.

That is fine and it would have been nice if you just kept it as YOU not wanting to spend that kind of money but I am not sure why you have to basically say or imply that those that pay it (which I do not, by the way) are foolish or being ripped off. If they like it and want to use it and are willing to pay for it, why does it matter to you and why do you have to go so far as calling people names for doing so? THAT is the kind of stuff I don't understand. I personally would not pay that much for a skincare product but I would never call women who do foolish or stupid, or idiots or whatever.

So true!!

Also look what women pay to inject botulism into their systems!!

It really makes you wonder why anyone would get so perturbed at the thought of what others pay for their skincare or anything else. Exactly what is it that distresses them so much. It has become such a common topic here over who knows why?

Just a random guess on my part yet I would think anyone choosing to pay however much money they want for skincare products also has sufficient monies to put into stocks. It's not one or the other. I would almost bet that those who spend more than most probably also have more than most in stocks and other investments.

I don't understand why some spend what they do in a myriad of categories but they have every right to do so and no-one else has the right to criticize or demean them for it. We all have our own priorities and our own budgets so let's respect everyone's decision to purchase what they want at whatever price points they want.

I have definitely not purchased Sisley's vials for $1200 but I can say this about the brand. It has some impressive performers and many for far less in cost. I was back East visiting family one summer and my sister and I stopped in Saks to check out their luxurious beauty department. Lynn had heard some good things about Sisley (which she can easily afford) but she had never tried it so we both checked it out. Fabulous customer service, I still remember that!

Ended up with each of us buying a few products that we both ended up loving. Now this was when we were far younger so we were not looking for or needing "miracles in a jar" at that point in time - just good products that worked well. And we got them.

I don't live anywhere near a Sisley counter now plus they use a lot of essential oils which I have developed a serious reaction to so doubt I would be purchasing much anyway. But they do have some really nice products that work quite well and they do a bustling business in the New York area. I think most of their clientele can well afford to pay their prices.

Beautifully stated, wackers. I've had some Perricone products in my rotation for years, and it is not the most expensive line out there by any means. All you have to do is walk through Saks, Neiman's, Bergdorf Goodman, etc., to find creams, lotions, and potions that make your typical Perricone products seem quite average in price.

I would never question how anyone else spends their money. I am hopeful, however, that those of us who choose to stick our toes in high-end waters are not starving our families, on welfare, using food stamps, while risking the opportunity for an enjoyable retirement.

So count me amongst those who will rub an expensive cream into the deeply etched laugh lines and frown lines I've earned during the past 61 years. I'm also one of those who would never inject foreign substances like botulism toxin or artificial fillers into my face.

That's what makes the world go 'round.

BTW, at $198.34 for 2.5 ounces we're talking about 79.33 per ounce. Have any of the posters who are shocked at this price purchased a .5 ounce eye cream for $40? You're spending the same amount of money per ounce.

My biggest gripe about this particular product is that it addresses the ""minuet lines."" (I don't think I have any of those.) Did anyone catch that last night?!

I believe Dana was incorrect when she said minuet lines. I thought they are referred to as marionette lines (as in the movable mouth lines of marionette puppets).
