Re: Perfumes For Ladies Over 60

We absolutely do change over time.  I am guessing none of us still has teenage acne?  I know I have feet now that need cream every night, never did as a teen.

Don't know about a particular odor, but I have shifted away from liquid shower cleaners back to a bar soap.  If I am going to shower, I want clean, then I can use a lotion.

Re: Perfumes For Ladies Over 60

@Witchy Woman  Wow Ambush - that's a throw back.  Yes, I wore that one and Jovan Musk - I think it may have been one of the first fragrances for either sex.   Talk about a headache...

I used to wear Amazing Grace because it was light, but something was changed along the way and it's not the same.  I work with women who wear heavy, musky, oud fragrances and I'm not the only one who complains and we usually wind up sitting across the room from them as it's nauseating.  At least to me it is.

I don't know about/aware of this tv ad.  I'm so glad I stopped watching tv years ago (g).

I meant to wear the Clean Reserve "Skin" fragrance today to see how my hair dresser liked it.  It lives on my night stand so I grabbed it, spritzed it...it wasn't Skin.  It was Kayali's Eden's Apple Smiley Surprised  Have no idea how that happened.

@MJDinVegas

I've been meaning to reach out to you to let you know I love the Eden's Apple and Vanilla 28 combo Smiley Happy  Tell me again how you layer it.  Apple first and then Vanilla?

Yes @monicakm  your better off staying away from the TV.  Some of the things you will see like these "sprays" for woman are enough to make you hurl. lol.

I doubt it's because they don't care.  It's likely they have physical issues and they aren't strong enough to overcome them.  Their mental capacity may be impaired.  And with a lower income + mental impairment, they could very well think they can't afford the water bill and soap.  Let's not forget a diminished sense of smell!

And you know that HOW? Speculate much?

@layla2450  because we see this everywhere.  Do you have any old relatives?  Ever been in a nursing home, the ones the that are run by the State for the poor?

I've volunteered at homes for seniors.  I saw it first hand.  I'm sure most have a family member or two as well in a bad state.  Odd statement you made.

This is not speculation, it is real life. Get out there and volunteer would be my suggestion to you. It is very rewarding.  Every little bit helps.

I'm really thinking about another bottle even tho Kayali says it's permanent.  I don't want to take a chance.  I'll store it in an interior linen closet.  It'll be stored dark and cool till ready to use.

@Jersey Born

Thank you.  Have you ever smelled a latte note in any of these that claim "coffee" as a note?  A couple of times I've spilled my morning cold brew (with sf Italian cream and sweetner).  I'm like, good, I'll smell like sweet creamy coffee today Smiley Happy  They should bottle that.

That's one reason I use unscented Dove (Sensitive).  I don't want it to change the scent of my perfume.

@monicakm , I think it's a great idea.  I may go for another in January after my credit card cools off a bit!  LOL
