Anyway, at least now I know it is doing something, but I suspect Paula put more anti-irritants in it, so it's less harsh than the SkinMedica I was using previously. I do like that Paula's product has a nice amount of slip, which helps it spread evenly on the face. Also, this product is less drying than the SkinMedica.
Happy Elizabeth and others who've tried this: What's the consistency/texture? Is it a serum? Creamy? Easily absorbed?
I think I'll order the sample. I've never ordered from PC, can I get just samples without a real-sized order? Thanks!

I would say it's creamy, not liquid-like. It's in a pump, it comes out white. You're only supposed to use a pea sized amount, so it absorbs well enough, but it's not something you slather on. Paula's Choice sells samples on the site, but I've found when I call, they send them to me for free (not sure if that's supposed to happen, but just putting it out there!).

I've never used any retinol product. Anyone like to hazard a guess as to where to start??????
I use PC & NCN products. I've heard good things about PTR Fusion. There seem to be so many strengths. I think it's all rather confusing!

Yes I've used them both. It was a few years ago but I must not have loved them since I moved on to other retinols after using them. I don't have any specific gripes about them, except that over the years most of the products at NCN have become very expensive IMO. I do remember thinking that the 2% was possibly too strong for me, either from irritation or me not liking the way my face was looking while I was using it (can't remember which).
Yes, I've noticed the creep upward in just the two or so years I've used or considered using NCN. I suppose the costs to make the product have increased.
