--They look really nice and I can't remember much about what I thought about them when I saw them in person, but I do remember my BFF saying "they look so shiny." She's not a makeup person, but the display was spectacular. Personally, I am not a fan of their shadows, but love Mac blushes, glosses and lipsticks.

Hi SilentDance- the reviews for these were POOR. I think Temptalia gave it a C+. It lost all appeal plus your friend was probably right in that they are very shiny. AKA glitter. I did not care for the packaging all that much with the cameo so its just as well.

--Love the blush shade in the Dolly Buxom palette. I just gave it a swipe and thought it's unique for me and I can understand why the bloggers love it. I will update when I try the rest of the palette which will be tomorrow.

I love the Dolly gloss. Is the palette sort of warm and a bit deeper? I cannot tell at all from the photo online. I wish I could have gotten a Sephora discount this year.

--I was actually able to make another 20% purchase from Sephora. I purchased some Jack Black for my boys and a Nars Lip pencil in "Se* Machine." Looks like something I don't have and really liked it in some of the pics. Shown here in the second pic:

Love the look of that shade!!!! You must review it. I am wondering about the micro glitter in it though.

I've been getting use out of the MV compact. I am SO lazy in the morning that I often apply it over moisturizer because I don't take the time for foundation or tinted moisturizer. Now that I've been using the Bare Skin foundation I have other thoughts. Sometimes it sot of sits on my skin and has settled in forehead lines making them more obvious. Also a bit in some pores which I never otherwise really notice. I have to be careful not to apply too much and blend it out well. What happens is that if I'm looking for more than sheer coverage it doesn't work all that well. At least it has spf and is no irritating.

I ordred a couple of items. I ordered the Doll 10 holiday lip wardrobe. I hope I love it because I'm so excited to try something new and the shades looked pretty on tv. I also ordered a Clarins lip crayon in plum. Clarins makes nice lip products especially for dry lips.

Yes the iT brushes are nice. My travel set was packaged nicely last year.

--Yes, shiny, sparkly, glittery..that's how I see them too. They were sitting up on pedestals and the lights were really low and there was a dim light glowing on them...oooh and ahhh for all about 2 secs from me. lol

I love the Dolly gloss. Is the palette sort of warm and a bit deeper? I cannot tell at all from the photo online. I wish I could have gotten a Sephora discount this year.

--It's very sheer, both shades. One shade is barely there and the other is more of a clear gloss. I would not say warm at all. Did you try using the code everyone else was using? Are you VIB? I am rouge, so I didn't know what the code was for other levels. You really should have called them. The shadows are very well pigment as is the blush and I really like the highlighter. It looks nice on cheek bone and honestly, it happened with very little effort.

--Secs Machine - I can't wait to get it. How it looks on me is a whole different story. I hope I like it.

---Re: EL Intense Nude. The same story as the lipstick/gloss that came in the last BM TSV. Everybody says it's pink yet it looks brickish shade on me. I checked numerous photos of the Intense Nude and it looks nothing on me like it does in those pics. I got use to it but it's not what I expected.

---I actually thought it was a heavy makeup for something called "barely" but what do I know, since I really don't have much experience with liquid foundation (I have not used the Lancome yet, I think I am afraid of it). I guess you should be careful not to use too much, otherwise you might put it to the side and not use it. SPF and non-irritating is definitely worth any extra it may take to make it work.

--I saw some of the Doll 10 items and thought they were really nice. Let me know how the plum shade works out. Is this the same crayon you have in another shade, or your first crayon from them?

Yes the iT brushes are nice. My travel set was packaged nicely last year.

--I have a few brushes from some items purchased but tossed the makeup. I actually kept the kits because of the brushes. One was the mineral veil like product and another was their powder highlighter - which were both duds for me.

--There are Macys black Friday circulars floating around the net and it looks like they will have a EL doorbuster - 5 or 6 glosses in a cosmetic bag for $20.00. good deal and makes a nice gift.

--Sephora will also have their $10.00 deals on black Friday. Oh, btw I purchased the small Tarte blush with highlighter kit from Sephora for $10.00. Medium skinned people said the blush was good for them. I can't even get it to show up on my cheeks. The highlighter isn't bad.

--I've been alternating HF and LG B& B everyday. I am determined to use it all up before I even think of purchasing another powder foundation. They both work well for me. I will give the MV a try tomorrow.

I don't feel like i need clear gloss so I guess its not that good? I don't think I'm a VIB. I went into my history and only went in 3 times in the last year and made purchases. Not too much spent at Sephora.

The Intense Nude never looked pink to me. You just never know quite how something will look until it goes onto your own lips.

I don't find the Bare Skin heavy at all. What I was finding is that it reminds me of a serum that sort of sits on my skin for a while. Adding more seems to just push it around my face. LOL

No never tried a Clarins lip crayon. Sounds nice than the Trish ones. They are sort of too light for lipsticks but good for blush. I wish I had just bought the Rose and called it good rather than the set.

Gosh haven't given any thought to door busters. Its all approaching too quickly. Don't waste your money on anymore powder foundation when you have 2 that work so well for you.

Yes, that is why i think it still ends up looking decent if I go light with it. Good shade match and so light I cannot feel it on my skin. Truth is I feel I could use some foundation these days. I have some mild hyper pigmentation and redness along the sides of my face. I feel like I should be doing some sort of peel or something.

Ok, must tell you the Doll 10 holiday collection is gorgeous! My first impression…..after gasping from joy when I slid the box open…is that the shades are beautiful. They have no taste and feel wonderful on the lips. I wore the 'nude pink' which actually worked for me, both the lipstick and topped with the gloss. TOnight I tried the 'warm berry' which is a bolder shade for me. Its so pretty. I gave it a light blot. I think the shade is really good and I can pull it off. While I try to 'ignore' beauty rules I get a little worried about looking odd. The whole thing about women over 40 shouldn't do this or that. blah blah. The shade IMO is not aging, it is face brightening. Tomorrow I will try the mid tone pink. The lipsticks feel great. I will be buying more from the line. I regret the Aerin lipstick because these are so much better for the fraction of the cost. My initial impulse was to order another set because if its only available for the holidays I hate to not be able to get the shades again. Can you tell I really like the set ?? LOL

--I used the BM MV compact this morning and didn't care for it. I thought I really liked it when I tried it from the TSV. I do prefer the loose powder MV.

thats too bad. I do recall you thinking you liked it. I use it because I have it but would not repurchase it. What is the difference for you between the look you get from the loose vs the compact?

EL glosses are nice but I don't usually buy the sets because they don't have all the shades I'd wear. I will look again this year. EA often seems to be an underrated brand which I forget to look at. There 'blockbuster' looks really nice this year too. They put together a nice looking collection.

Today I did an eye from the Lorac palette and really like the shades. The shadow liner transferred. UGH!!! It wasn't as bad as a pencil. Pleanty of people have more hooded eyes than mine so I'm wondering what they use or if they just live with it and its not as noticeable as I seem to obsess about. At this point the only thing that won't transfer at all is gel liner. I feel they can look a bit harsh especially with my light coloring. In fact I was thinking of trying brown mascara for a change. Not sure….

hi bljed,

I'm so glad you like the Dalton10 lip products. I did see the presentation and thought they were really nice. While higher price lipsticks are nice at times, I agree that if we look hard enough we could spend less and get the same results and quality.

The EL set seems ok for $20.00 and would make a nice gift for a makeup buff. I'm not sure what shades are included but I am sure one of them would compliment candy clown, their best seller. {#emotions_dlg.lol}

Do you use eye cream in the morning or put moisturizer there. I've been using eyeliner with no problem up until this morning when I felt my eyes looked a bit dry and I applied some moisturizer. I had some serious smudging going on.

BTW, one of the best buys for me this year is that Dolly High Roller palette. Love, the blush shade, the highlighter is very nice, and the shadows are great. The biggest bonus is the buxom eyeliner - creamy like UD but absolutely no smudging (until today with eye cream). I'm very pleased with the palette and glad I purchased. I've been wearing it daily since I received it.

Do you have anything on your shopping list for the deals coming up? I've been buying things for the house, so cosmetics and creams haven't even been a thought. A lot of the stuff I got from Sephora sale is either gifts or things I have not yet had the time to try. I did receive the Nars pencil called S*x Machine and it looks totally different on me. It's a nice shade but doesn't look like pics on line. I'm done with lipsticks and glosses for a long while, since shades I choose always look different on me. The follow up ADs for the last BM TSV look like they will be really nice. I will take a look at Sephora $10 deals but I don't think there is anything I want at the moment.

Did you get your Dutch Oven? I'll be thinking of you tomorrow while I make my apple crisp in the Ninja. I haven't used the vitamix much, but plan to. It's just been so darn hectic I feel like I am always trying to catch up (to what I don't know.)

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!

Hi SilentDance- Happy Thanksgiving to you as well! I'm soon off to where there are 10+" of snow on the ground! A white Thanksgiving this year!

The EL gloss set isn't terribly appealing to me because I have so much new stuff. However I do love those mini sizes and like their gloss formula a lot. As for Candy Clown we both know anything will compliment it as its the best 'goes with everything' type shade. LOL

I don't use a separate eye cream….I just use my spf PC moisturizer all over including under my eyes. I don't have trouble with under eye smudging. I do think it can be an issue for you because you have to figure if you are putting a cream onto the skin it can migrate to the liner. Perhaps its too emollient?

My issue has been the constant transferring of liner on the right eye only. Last week I used the Trish powder liner and it even did it then. I was shocked. Looks like gel or liquid would be the only formulas where I would not get that occurring BUT I have trouble applying them and they don't give me the softer look I prefer. I think I'm just going to have to live with it and wipe it off when it occurs. I find that if I wipe if off it doesn't re-occur. For some reason its that initial time when I think there is simply more liner (its thicker) to transfer.

Great with the Dolly palette. I also liked it and almost purchased. Forgot to check it in person but watched a video review. I think it has black eyeliner? I wish they would not do black liner in so many kits.

Ok, so I've been busy lately with purchases. I just received the BM TSV!!! I love the look of all of it. It was so overcast here the past 2 days I could not get a great idea of the lipstick but it seemed to be a nice everyday shade. I think there is enough pink in it for me. I need to look at it outside in full sun to be sure. Lighting with shades like that can be SO tricky. I'm going to wear the kit today. Actually really like the deep brown liner a lot too. I think the illuminator will be good. While its 'gold' its not the deeper really yellow gold….its softer and more a beige gold. I think….

Also purchased from Sephora the JM Argan Dreams color collection. I'm going to try mixing that illuminator with her body butter. The Rose gold shadow looks so pretty. The Inifinity lip tint is a nice pink. Somehow I feel the shadow and pink lip tint look more summery. I got this great bag of samples-a rare thing these days along with the JM 500 point kit. I had gone into the store but they were out of it and onto a Smashbox one so I went home and ordered what I wanted because it was still in stock online.

The last thing is the Clarins lip crayon in Plum. This is very nice. I really like their crayons. Feel so nice and the Plum is a pop of sheer color. My favorite look is some color but with a bit of sheen. Finding it more youthful.

Last week I ended up returning the Trish crayon kit. I tried working with them and it was NOT worth the $60 as I could only wear the Rose on the cheeks. It made a nice blush but was not the best look for my lips. I also did not care for the taste and feel of them on my lips. THere are many superior products out there. The other 2 shades I did not like at all.

Oh also got an Hourglass blush that I have yet to try. It doesn't seem to be one with shimmer in it. I am in need of a quick blush for work mornings. i love the Pink Escape gelee blush in the kit I got but the container is about the size of a nickel. I don't know how I'm going to apply this. I cannot get my stippling brush in it properly. Any ideas?

I hope you like the apple crisp. I made pumpkin pie which is simple. No Dutch oven yet. I put it on my wish list. I have a 4 quart but would love the 6 quart.

So you saw the auto deliveries for the latest BM TSV? I love the look of the next one. The July may be a pass for me and I'm not sure about the next Oct. I also have the auto delivery for the one provious with the foundation-which I am liking.

I will probably do some casual shopping tomorrow….little deals at Sephora don't interest me. I did see one with the JM hand cream that might be nice to have. For some odd reason I'm still drooling over the iT Cosmetics matte palette (the first one). I think slight shimmer/sheen might be prettier so I need to RESIST. LOL

Great with the Dolly palette. I also liked it and almost purchased. Forgot to check it in person but watched a video review. I think it has black eyeliner? I wish they would not do black liner in so many kits.

--It's $29.00 on sale at Sephora now. Wow better than my 20% off deal. I love it so I can forgive Sephora. lol

--Glad you like the BM TSV. It's really is very nice and the luminizer although beigey just doesn't show up that way. I will decide on the next three since I am building quite a collection now and not sure how much I need.

--I purchased BM The Big Top for only $49.00 ($79.00) and Star of the show for $38.00 ($54.00) and also got a LG Flawless in a flash kit for $19.00. Those were for me from black friday Macys on line. Purchased some Loccitane stuff and picked up the kits for $15.00 for kits.

Also purchased from Sephora the JM Argan Dreams color collection. I'm going to try mixing that illuminator with her body butter. The Rose gold shadow looks so pretty. --Let me know how you like the blush. I've only tried their luminizer products but didn't care for them. I saw a blogger with blush and it looked pretty. Can you remove it from the compact? I bought the Z thing from Sephora but yet to try. Maybe if you remove it and place it in another compact with a magnet or something else? Otherwise I guess a finger might be best?

I hope you like the apple crisp. I made pumpkin pie which is simple. No Dutch oven yet. I put it on my wish list. I have a 4 quart but would love the 6 quart.

Hi SilentDance- I got sick and could not BF shop. I did see online that EL had the glosses and quite frankly I did like the shades! Just did not feel like ordering them. I will check out the Dolly on sale. My only gripe is that darn cardboard box style packaging.

-I purchased BM The Big Top for only $49.00 ($79.00) and Star of the show for $38.00 ($54.00) and also got a LG Flawless in a flash kit for $19.00. Those were for me from black friday Macys on line. Purchased some Loccitane stuff and picked up the kits for $15.00 for kits.

Wow you're getting quite a BM stash. I really do like the last TSV. Haven't officially worn the lipstick or luminizer but loved the other products. The liner worked out ok and there was little transferring. I wish the kit was pressed but what can you do? I always thought the line had such gorgeous shades and the finished on those two shades is very pretty. Just hate the mess.

I gave the HourGlass blush a test run and it is nice. The only thing is that its looking at like my new BM blush. First impression anyhow. I will have to swatch them. Also had to be careful because its easy for me to overdo that shade. I have the Luminous Flush and I don't see any shimmer at all. It was my favorite shade.

http://www.thebeautylookbook.com/2014/03/hourglass-ambient-lighting-blush.html

As for the tiny JM cheek gelee I don't know about taking it out of the glass jar. When I tried to use my finger it all ended up under my finger nail. I will have to play with it because I think its my favorite shade.

--I got the nest rollerballs and something else I can't remember. I have boxes from Macys sitting on floor and will get to them when I sign off.

Sounds like you've done some good shopping! I was starting to feel like I should hold back on myself as I have gifts to purchase. The difficult thing is that there are just some good deals out there. I decided to order a JM argan milk from her website during the 25% off sale and the huge tub of argan body butter unscented from qvc. I am nearly out of the unscented large jar I bought last winter. These items are HG for me so I figured why not buy with the better prices.

I appreciate your attempt at posting the Doll 10 lipstick photo. I did happen to see it when it was posted. I'm going to hold off and use what I have. I bought quite a few new lipsticks this fall which I needed but feel its enough for now. My big regret was the Aerin lipstick. Ended up not especially liking the shade or taste/fragrance so much.

Have you seen any LG shows? Remember that large holiday makeup collection?

Edited to add. have the Dolly palette in my cart. Feeling a tad uncertain about the blush. Is it s deeper mauve shade? I'm wondering if it will be good for fair skin also? Would appreciate your thoughts.

Hi SilentDance- just wanted to show you this pretty Spring (yes I said spring, LOL) collection. Love the shadows but am not sure how much use I'd get out of the greens. anyhow its already up for sale on the Macys website!

http://www.reallyree.com/2014/11/clarins-spring-2015-garden-escape-makeup.html

Hope you are enjoying the holidays and not getting too frantic.
