Actually, it's red on the opposite side of green. lol I will try the tip about applying a coat of mascara first to open up the eye. It's a good idea because mascara completes the look and it's good to already have it on while you are trying to decide if what you are applying is enough or looks good because you know what it will look like in the end. I would never do that ombre look with all purples, I think it's too much. I like the shades he used, but they aren't good for me. I have to keep in mind that the model is dark skinned and beautiful and the colors they used in the video are perfect for her. I'm not sure how those shades would look on a lighter skinned person.

++Well, orange is opposite of blue but I wouldn't be caught dead in orange shadow. Shades like copper, bronze can run along that line or peaches. Anyhow I was thinking that you could get the look with the trios- Steel Lilacs or Sterling Plums. I think the model's shadow shades were very neutral where the plums I don't see as being neutral-perhaps that is why it might feel like too much to you? We don't want to go with the crazy purple eye of the '80s of course. I think some of the shades are subtle though-in these palettes, just a hint of plum or lavender for example.

---I don't like building too much because it's very easy to cross the line from good to gawdy. lol But, I see a lot of women on tv with heavy blushes and it reminds me of the 80's, not a good look.

++trust me I can build a sheer blush a bit but hate obvious blush. I feel its aging and can look like your entire face is suddenly too made up.

--I think you've had some good luck with shadows lately and that's why you want more. I feel that way with BE. I'm really enjoying everything and would like to own more.

Perhaps. I thought I'd go with my no buy until I saw my face today in broad daylight. I will confess I also had my readers on because I was trying to read the tiny BM label. LOL Not sure if I should step into Ulta tomorrow.

Might order the PC products I was eyeing…...

SilentDance- an update. I avoided Ulta because I felt I might make poor choices. LOL

Spotted these blushes on line and they look pretty- pricey!

I believe they are going to have more shades. Looks nice for spring.

Hi bljed,

Good idea if you are feeling that way. Best to go to those stores when you have intended purpose than browsing. I know I make poor choices when I feel I "have to buy something." lol

The blush does look nice and I am sure they will release other shades. I think I remember the consistency of the illuminators as silky, so if the blushes are the same, you will like them. They were too light for me and didn't show up and that is why they were returned.

Updates or I should say purchases (ahem with gift card): Argan Milk. I like it under my makeup but it stinks and with all the reviews I read I can't believe no one mentioned the smell of it. It goes away, but all I can think of is sour milk. lol It's good for under my makeup but I don't think it's all that hydrating and I don't have dry skin.

BE ready foundation in Beige - didn't think I liked the shade at first but it actually looked very nice today. The SA recommended it and it's for cool tones, which I would not have purchased on my own. I have Shiseido compact foundation and a BE ready deluxe sample that is warmer toned and I will use those in warmer months.

Too Faced Natural Face Radiance Palette. Nice light bronzer, and the blush is very pretty. There is a creme blush I am not sure about yet and it includes a conceal, luminize and brightener. I hope I like it. Nothing I already own from Too Faced, so that's a good thing.

Too Faced Chocolate shadows. Didn't try yet. It's a mix of other palettes for me, but I don't like having to go to different palettes, so this will work. I'm getting really good at shadow application with no help from youtube. Every time I try something I learn on youtube, it's a disaster. I end up like a "painted lady." {#emotions_dlg.lol}

As a side note, I am happy to be using a powder again. My Hello flawless was not looking quite right on me. Everyone tells me, my skin tone looks lighter and I suspect that is the reason. The wonders of staying out of the sun and using sunscreen all the time. lol

End of gift cards. Had to throw in a few dollars but I think I made some good choices. Will keep you updated.

BTW, still loving the Hada Labo anti-aging replenisher. The hydrating replenisher is very nice too. I think I could have done without the moisturizer. Ulta sent me a 20% off coupon but it can't be used on much and they have $50.00 minimum.

++sometimes I go through these phases where I feel like what I'm doing isn't working at least not well enough so off I go….looking. Thats when I buy something totally different thinking I need to makeover myself or revamp my look. Its usually my biggest disasters.

++Wow. you got quite a bit with your gift cards! Call me surprised that you bought the unimpressive Chocolate palette. {#emotions_dlg.lol} Over the weekend I did an eye using the Salted Caramel shade and it did not look good to me. I do not care for that shade! Right now I'm so wanting that Moxie lipstick in Get Ready. I cannot get it out of my mind.

++I smell nothing from my Argan Milk. {#emotions_dlg.confused1} I'll sniff it again tonight. I read ONE review where the woman said it stunk. I was surprised. I already know your nose is much different than mine. LOL

+I cannot follow youtube makeup tutorials because they all apply a TON more than I ever would. I'm just not that interested in that time investment. We get to an age where more makeup is aging anyhow.

++Sounds like the HF shade is now a bit off for you. I could not quite get the right match in it either. A bit too yellow in my case.

++I"m having doubts about the BM April delivery. The powder does have some glitter particles and I'm not sure teal liner is in my comfort zone.

++Watching iT right now and almost ordered the aluminizing powder. Sounds like a loose mess and some have commented it DOES have glitter even though they say it doesn't. I think they have the line at Ulta. BTW Ulta has a lot of useless coupons but a couple of times/year we can use coupons on prestige brands so its nice to get them.

SilentDance-I found some more shades for the Hourglass blush. I'm eyeing the Ethereal. Looks really pretty! I lost my VIB status. I did not buy much last year….

---I tossed a bunch of little palettes and singles and I feel comfortable having another large palette. My UD palettes are wearing down. I'm surprised you like this TF palette, quite a bit of sparkle in it.

--This was the first year I didn't get anything beauty related for Christmas. My dad gave me a Penney's gift card and I don't shop there, so he needed stuff I gave him the card and then he got me a card from Sephora. The other cards were stuff I returned from the October sale which came to about $75.00.

--I thought it odd because you read reviews for other products (especially Perricone) and there is always mention of fragrance, or something else and I couldn't find one review about argan milk. I am stopping by the store to smell the sample, maybe I got a bad batch?

+I cannot follow youtube makeup tutorials because they all apply a TON more than I ever would. I'm just not that interested in that time investment. We get to an age where more makeup is aging anyhow.

--I agree.

++Sounds like the HF shade is now a bit off for you. I could not quite get the right match in it either. A bit too yellow in my case.

--Maybe that is it, it doesn't look quite right now. It's practically new, so I will use it here and there and the same with the BB creams. I have a practically new JM Protect and perfect and I hope that is still okay to use. That is my summer coverage.

++I"m having doubts about the BM April delivery. The powder does have some glitter particles and I'm not sure teal liner is in my comfort zone.

---Hmmm...maybe you just want to cancel before it arrives. I guess if you find other stuff you like more you won't miss it at all.

--I returned it. It made me white and yes after reading so many reviews here that said it does not have glitter, it most certainly did. Of course these products must have some type of particle in it but there is a huge difference between a shimmer and glitter which is usually a thicker particle and is considered a sparkle. Never had any luck with IT cosmetics. Honestly, I consider it drugstore makeup with department store prices. I do like their brushes though.

You will have to take them home and try them. I found the illuminators to look nothing on my face like they did on the hand.

If you hit on a good shade, due to texture, I think you will like it.

From the link, I can see they are selling out fast.

Hi bljed,

I tried this combo this morning (have to call up the shades)...

salted caramel over lid and extended up a bit. marzipan because of the shimmer i placed on the outer part of the lid about halfway to outer edge. then amaretto at the outer/outer end of lid, blended in well and brought it up and around crease. I lined my eye with the BE charcoal liner and then lightly placed over it black forest truffle and ran that across the lash line. I also placed black forest truffle under the bottom lashes about halfway to the outer edge. It looked really nice. I used my BE powder and put Too Faced veil (this reminds me of the TM bronzer) on the C and E of face. Used the illuminator under eye and top of cheek and then used the powder blush from the TF natural palette. I used a nude Mac lipstick with a BE loud over it. The only thing I don't like from the TF Natural Face palette is the concealer. I will need to play with it more. I woke up with a lil red patch between brows and the only thing I used last night was the Argan milk. Like the oil, I hope this does not dry me out.

So far I like the shadow palette and I think I will make good use of it.

I'll bet you looked nice! I will have to look up the palette for exact shades. I look yuck in Salted Caramel. Marzipan is one of my serious favorites from that palette!! IMO there are 3 high shimmer shades in the palette and they are gorgeous. I DO like shimmer. They looked nice mixed with other shades and I have used them for liner. Just have to be careful that shimmer doesn't land on the cheeks.

Ok, my combo for the day….Benefit Gimmie Brow on the brows, L"Oreal Telescopic mascara, and a dusting of Trish finishing powder. {#emotions_dlg.lol}

We can only look at these. I know you like the brand so I thought I'd see if you have looked at them yet.

From the lip photos these lip glosses look boring.
