Hopefully, you are around tonight. I had surgery on L6-S1 sciatica pain in the buttocks from the spine and down the leg and into the calf (very painful). The worse thing to do is sit when you had sciatica if you are in constant pain. I would never wait 4 mos. to have surgery as I was always in pain. I had a neurosurgeon (the director of neurosurgery for UCSF). Excellent dr. If you are always in pain consider surgery. Today some back surgeries are less invasive as it's a small incision & a laser is used. Good luck to you. I hope you are pain free today. Take care.
