Can you please help me pronounce your pseudonym...is the A in your name long or short? Or, is it "ah"?

My name is pronounced Shay' niss....(long A). It's my nickname and everyone in my family has called me that since a toddler. It followed me, unfortunately, through school, college & now all friends use it too. I don't use that name professionally when signing jewelry or paintings, so no one I know can tell who the heck the artist is until I remind them it's my given name.
