Packaging Question for Josie's Whipped Body Butter

I hope someone can answer my question (I usually hang out over in the Judith Ripka forum).

On her last visit, I decided to try Josie's line and ordered the whipped body butter duo.

I was surprised to find that the lids weren't sealed nor the product container (under the lid) had a seal.

I wondered if this is typical of this product, or did I receive someone's return?
