I was at my local Kohl's in Bloomingdale, IL earlier today returning an online order that didn't work out for me. I was in their "beauty" department looking for an eye cream that would help with the dark circles I have under my eyes. I found very little left in cosmetics, what there was was picked over so I'm guessing this store will be getting a Sephora soon. PUR Minerals can no longer be found on their website either.

Wow, that's a big discount. Sounds like its a closeout or something. Knowing my luck, I'd get up to my Kohl's and they wouldn't have my shade of foundation. Fortunatelly, its' coming up on the Ulta 21 Days of Beauty sale.

@JeanLouiseFinch - know that PUR has been talked about in other threads and you've said you like it. I'm thinking of getting it during the ULTA sale and was wondering if you'd mind telling me what you like abou it?

@JeanLouiseFinch - found the other PUR thread from a few days ago so no need to respond to this.

Hi @JudyL I didn't like it when I first tried it. It felt irritating and drying, but I discovered that it was my skin that was having "a moment" due to overuse of some products or ingredient, and not the foundation causing anything.
Most of the time, I'll do a tinted moisturizer or liquidy foundation and powder over the top. I like that I can use the Pur Minerals foundation alone and get nice even coverage. Quick and easy. I've discovered that I can wear two shades successfully; Linen and Bisque, for my light-medium neutral skin tone. It doesn't seem to look powdery at all, but I do believe proper skincare is important beforehand. I don't notice that it oxidizes either, which is a big plus, and it seems to last most of the day. I prefer it without a primer, though. When I used The Ordinary primer with it, it rubbed off my nose rather easily. Practice with the application though, to see what you like. IMO a light hand is needed. I only have had to touch up around my nose and mouth, which is pretty usual anyway.
I'm going to get backups on the sale and maybe try a darker shade for after tanning.
Good luck. 🌷

@JeanLouiseFinch I have this in my cart for when it goes on sale at Ulta.
What do you find works best for application?

I ordered the set with the chisel brush from HSN. That brush is good for getting in tight places, like around the nose, but on bigger areas (forehead, cheeks, chin) I like a bigger powder brush or LG angled kabuki. For me, I like the coverage a light hand provides. I also find that I like it better w/o a primer...or at least w/o The Ordinary primer, that is. The foundation wiped right off my use when I used it over TO primer. I have to experiment more with other primers.

@JeanLouiseFinch thanks! I don't use primer so I won't have to worry about that.
I did order the chisel brush on eBay and it came today but I also have quite a few other brushes (including the LG angled kabuki) so I guess I'll be experimenting.
I'm hoping this foundation is as good as the Laura Geller B&B I'm currently using but I just can't get a good color match with it. I use Fair which is too dark. Porcelain is lighter but way too pink!
I'm getting Light in the PUR and I'm hoping it'll be a good color for me.

PUR has an excellent primer that I have been using, as I received it in a sample bag and I love it. I need to check into it and see if I can find it online for a sale price..It is such a good one!

I think the e.l.f. Poreless Putty Primer works pretty good with the PUR 4-in1 foundation. That primer has just enough 'sticky' (not tacky) to it for the powder foundation to grab on to it so it doesn't slip off of your face.
