I was wondering if anyone could recommend a skincare product that will lighten brown spots over time? I have been using something I once read here, Alpha Skincare Dual Action Fade Cream, it is in a tube. This hasn't worked at all, I read Dr. Murad and IT Cosmetics make good products for this. I wouldn't mind paying a good bit of money if it actually worked. Do these type of products do double duty for fine lines?

There must be at least a dozen threads about spots in this forum. I would look through some of those b/c there is a lot of info in them.
I will say right off the bat that most if not all OTC products for brown spots do not work. Save your money and visit a derm if you are serious about removing them.

Agree with @SilleeMee i tried many through the years, nothing worked. As a matter of fact some lightened the area around the brown spot which made it appear darker. Invest in a good concealer or see a derm

Mad Hippie Hydrating Nuitrient Mist, it is actually a fade spritz, the name is deceiving. All natural ingredients.

I visited my dermatologist last week and asked her about this very thing. She suggested the most viable option would be a good concealer/makeup foundation. Insurance doesn't cover cosmetic procedures and apparently these spots are iffy if removed by laser.
She has cases of products for sale so if there was one that worked, I'm sure she would have tried to sell it.

My coworker had her spots on her hands lasered off, was a lot of them, they scabbed for a few weeks and after that, all healed and spots gone!!

I used hydroquinone and that really took care of the melasma. I was able to get a tube in Canada without a prescription through the mail.
Maybe look into Musely?

Hydroquinone 4% RX is still the one that derm docs prescribe.

If you're up for it then you can order Rx hydroquinone from an overseas pharm and you don't need a Rx to get it. AllDayChemist is who I had in mind. I have bought stuff from them for nearly a decade without worries.

Dhc skincare just came out with a targeted age and sun spot gel. It's new and I am going to try it. I'm sure results will take longer than a prescription.
