I think the important factor is what color shadows do you wear the most. If you like colors for pops of color, then not UD Nakeds. If you love mattes, IT Cosmetics. For lots of variety, neutral, color, matte and shimmery probably Lorac Pro Palette.

I have brown hair and brown eyes and my favorite is Too Faced Natural Eye and Dior Incognito (5 colors if you consider that a palette). Also love NYX Boho Chic, it also has some blushes.

Another idea is to make your own Makeup Geek .com has wonderful shadow pans, beautiful range of colors, smooth as silk, blend beautifully, very little if any fall out for half the price of a MAC pan. Buy a Zpalette and make your own.

I don't have brown hair OR brown eyes (so I'm probably no help -- lol!), but I think IT matte palette or Too Faced Chocolate Bar. I think you can do tons of looks with these, and both would be stunning on brown eyes! Good luck in your search.

What are you looking for in your palette? Bobbi Brown sometimes has palettes w/ concealers/eye shadow/blush.

I am brown eyes/brunette, but I have yet to find one palette that does it all. Wouldn't mind finding one myself!

But for me, I would not look at Tarte because a warm toned person (Maureen) usually gears their makeup line for warm tones (I could be totally wrong, but this is generally what I've noticed.) I'm neutral/cool.

You're right; there are so many.

Doesn't MAC customize palettes?

Without a doubt mine would be the new (updated) Too Faced Natural Eyes palette. It has the perfect mix of mattes and shimmers, and can easily go from a day to night time look. I have tons of palettes but this has become my go-to since I got it in March. I absolutely love it!!, Good luck!!

If I could only have one palette then I would spend the extra money to buy an empty case (such as the ones sold by Bobbi Brown), then choose my own colors in which to fill it. My personal feeling is that once the palette goes beyond four colors regardless of how nice the shades are there will be two or three colors I use completely, while the rest remain barely touched.

Too Faced Chocolate Bar. I regularly use 15 of the 16 shades. One shade I use more as an eyeliner because it's so dark. I mostly wear neutral nudes but with this palette I could also do a colorful look. Most of the colors are warm but you could pull off a cool toned look or two. I recommend this one if you love warm colors.

Lorac Pro is great. Lots of neutrals, half matte, half shimmer, no sparkle. You can do a neutral eye, smokey eye, light eye, a little bit of color, but nothing crazy. Super great quality shadows.
