Yes, FDA investigation.   You would thing the company would be proactive and try to put in a fix or make an explanation.  They probably think IT WILL ALL GO AWAY.  If this were a food product it would be enough to get a quicker response.

I don't use the product and I know their are defenders to the death, but safety should be the first concern.

@bonnielu, years ago my GI doctor put me on a medicine that was really helping me with a health problem. A couple hundred people had reported serious side effects from this medicine. The FDA pulled it from the market and that was a "couple hundred".. Not thousands.

For those who use it with no side effects, great. I feel badly for those that have suffered side effects.

They are only on the FDA Watch because the people that filed lawsuit were probably told they had to notify the FDA of the problems they had using Wen. Sounds like it's the next step for the bogus lawsuit.

Re: On the FDA Watch Really

I'm glad the FDA has it on their radar, Wen should be looked into.

I hope that QVC will suspend all Wen product sales until the FDA has completed their investigation.

Why should QVC suspend all Wen product sales? Aren't we all adults capable of making our own decisions about what we choose to buy or not buy?

I feel pretty terrible about the whole thing. What looked to be somthing really innovative and new which it seems many people do realy love - for this to happen. But as much as whomever loves it, it's pretty impossible to deny at this point that there clearly is some sort of problem going on. It would be nice if they somehow are able to narrow down what the problem is. I used WEN for a long time - I don't remember how long exactly, but long enough to try multiple formulas/scents. I never got amazing results like some people did, but kept using it because I loved the scents and simplicity of it. Plus it was almost like a status item to use it. Even though my hair never looked like the WEN models there seemed to be that promise dangling there that if I kept adding this or that to my routine eventually I would get there. Well eventually never happened and I decided to jump off that bandwagon. I too experienced hairloss, but not in huge clumps or anything. I did notice thinning in my temple regions to the point of almost balding - like the area where older men begin to bald first, and I had more hair in the drain than I do now. But my hair grew so fast it seemed to make up for that. I really never connected the two at all until it became a really talked about thing on this forum - and i brushed it off for a long time thinking I was just aging and/or my hormones were weird. But about six months ago I did switch shampoos and my hair in the temple region has begun growing back and not even close to the amount of hairloss in the shower as before. So - I do believe 100% there is merit to the claims. Though I feel badly for Chaz and the empire he has built seems to be crumbling around him, I feel more badly for the women who have had severe hairloss (i wouldn't call what I experienced severe). These products do need to be examined to determine why this is happening. I am very turned off by the company's complete dismissal of all claims and I feel that is going to really bite them in the ....

IShould I be afraid to continue using Wen products?

I am having no problem with Wen so I shall continue to use this product. The fact that so many people use Wen and have no problem (global wide) and such a small amount of people claim to have a problem does not bother me.

The reason for fall out could be any number of things: stress, diet, thyroid issues, allergies, medications and other health related issues.

If people believe Wen is their problem, there is an FDA site to go to. I think there is a section for your medical history/medications that you will have to answer.
