I can't wear straight down bangs due to a cowlick.  But, I don't like long bangs especially if they get into the lashes. .  Even my sideswept bangs will drive me crazy if they fall onto my forehead which is why I can't give up hairspray.

@Icegoddess   Gotcha. I can't do straight down bangs either, but because my bangs would curl up. Even if I blow my hair out straight, one rain drop or a bit of humidity....poof!

Good morning @SurferWife . I like to begin with Benefit Brow Gel or the newer one that's called "fluff up something". Then I can see where the few bare spots are hiding.

When RMS was on, I purchased her brow pencil and powder w/ brush. For an every day natural look just powder over the gel. When I brows more precise and finished looking...that's when I go in with pencil first. after the gel.

Do you start with a pencil then go over it with a powder?

@Shanus

Thank you so much for the tip about applying gel first!  I never thought of that but gosh my brows turned out GREAT today!  That's a prize-winning tip!

@SurferWife   You're so welcome. My brows have always been full and dark. I gel them upwards on tweezing day and trim across the top w/ my manicure scissors. Then I figured why not leave them w/ gel and fill them in from there. Voila!

@Shanus Mine are long compared to what I'm seeing these days, but they're sparse, so I'm afraid to comb them up and cut them.  I might try the gel first trick though.

Re: Ombre Brows

Those brows in the pic look like they came off a mannequin. Not exactly a look I want to go for!

@Shanus @SurferWife , that Benefit Fluff Up product is a wax, not a gel.  I just picked up a mini today at Sephora to try.
