I'm trying the oil again. This time I concidered half of the tube as a dropper full as suggested on the oils thread. I did two and a half of those. Put on 4 stripes on my scalp and a little bit on the back of my head. I massaged it in for several minutes then massaged some more. My hair is oily again! Not as bad as last time but it's pretty noticeable on the top half of my hair. I have fine thin hair. Maybe that is just to be expected? It does feel nice on my scalp though. I'm wondering if there are some tips that I am missing

From the presentations I saw on the oils, Chaz said put in at night and then cleanse/condition the next morning. I don't know how you apply it so your hair doesn't look oily, but I know that you came to the right place if you want tips and answers! If someone knows, they will respond.

Bichon_emma, are you doing a double cleanse to get all the oil out of your hair? You made to use extra CC, for your first cleanse, in order to remove all traces of oil.

I use the oils all the time and love them! I use them on my scalp and body. If your putting them on your scalp, it's best to do it before bed and sleep with them in then double cleanse in the morning. My hair always looks oily after I put the oil on, but I just don't go anywhere with them in. I've never had trouble getting my scalp clean the next day. Are you sleeping in the oil, and cleansing in the morning? And are you putting any on the length of your hair? My hair is fine, curly, and chin length and I use 4 droppers. And your right about "full droppers". Dropper is about 2/3 full. Mt hair looks greasy when I'm doing a treatment but it all washes out when I cleanse. Hope you can get them to work! The oils are my fave product!! Changed my scalp and skin soooo much!!

I'm confused......you're saying that your hair is oily after you apply the oils and massage them into your scalp, right? If so, that's perfectly normal, especially if you have fine hair. My hair is fine in texture, but pretty thick. I apply three or four droppers directly to my scalp for an overnight oil treatment. I look like..........well, I look like I have a head full of oil! It's not pretty, but the results are SO worth it! Once I do an oil treatment, I can only leave the house if I'm wearing a baseball cap! There is no other option.

If that's what you're worried about, don't worry! With hair that's "normal" (whatever that means) to fine in texture, there's no way to do a proper oil treatment and the oil not be noticeable.

I read that some ladies can apply the oils and still be presentable........I am NOT one of these........I massage the oil in and my hair goes up in a ponytail or bun. I think the girls with thicker, more textured hair can apply the oils and it not be as noticeable. Hope this helps!

My hair is fine to normal, and I just used TT oil, and I tried to concentrate rubbing the oil into my scalp and not the rest of my hair to try to avoid it being noticeable (and so it doesn't get on my pillow) but it was still noticeable. I only used about 1 dropper full too, so I don't think there's really a way to avoid it.

The oil is always noticeable when I do oil treatments. It looks like I haven't washed my hair in three weeks, but Wen cleanses all of it out.

I agree with all of the others. You should expect your hair to be oily after applying an oil treatment. Once you wash your hair it shouldn't be oily at all and may look even better than usual.

I can add a little bit to the ends and it doesn't make my hair oily. If you use the oils in small doses in addition to your styling creme your hair shouldn't be oily.

Thank you Doxie! That is it exactly. I see all the posts about people putting the oils in an going about her day and meanwhile I am leaving oil spots on my pillow {#emotions_dlg.lol}

Gotcha, glad we could help clear that up for you! :-)

Like Hilary said, I look funky with a scalp full of oil (my man has learned to ignore it), but it washes out easily with a double cleanse of Wen.

I remember when I did my first oil treatment, I was initially horrified........I thought there was no way that it would wash out with Wen. I actually took an old bottle of shampoo in the shower with me, "just in case", lol.
