Off Topic: Medical Question

Hi all and Happy New Year!

Does anyone here have any experience with having (or knowing someone who has had) a urethral diverticulum? It's essentially a hernia of the urethra. I was diagnosed with one and told I need surgery. I'm very hesitant to take these steps and was wondering if anyone has experience or advice.

Sorry for the "unsavory" topic but you all are so helpful with advice so I thought I'd ask.
