My husband has been asking me to get black nails.  I always say no, but today I compromised.  I actually like it more than I thought I would.  This is about at "goth" as I will ever get!

However, I refused to have black piggies, so I went with pink.  A girl can never go wrong with pink!

@SurferWife   Very nice manicure and pedicure and I like how you had the manicurist do an ombre effect with the black and a sparkyl top coat- super cute and creative!

Yes, it is a pink/black ombre'.   Actually, the black polish by itself was glittery,so she didn't have to add glitter on top.  I was please with the way it turned out.

@SurferWife  Very cool- I've never seen a glittery black polish before.  Men seem to really like black nails and they also like the classic pink and red shades! I bet your husband really liked your fun take on black in your manicure.  I remember when I painted my nails black a few years ago and I put on different swirls of silver and opalestent glitter and then did a high gloss top coat and I called my nails "intergalactic nails" since they looked like stars across a night sky.  You always have such great photos of your nails and they inspire me to change up my colors when i paint my nails

@SurferWife  Amuses me that your hubs made the request.  I have been married to this man for 43 years and he wouldn't know if my nails were long, short, painted or not.  Same with hair or make up.  Whenever we get ready to go anywhere, he will say "I'm in the car" and I will say jeeze give me 5 minutes to throw on a little color on my face.  When I get in the car, he says you look the same really with or without "what you call makeup".  Love that you think that but um no, I at least need blush and lipstick.

That's really cute!  I used to wear pure black for the Halloween season.  I'm more of a "neutral" girl or pastel colors now!
