When I woke up this morning I felt a big bulge on the back of my knee. I thought it was a bite of some kind, but I wasn't sure. It itched. I thought it could be a cyst of some kind that suddenly popped up. I didn't have time to deal with it at first until I got DS out the door. When DH looked at it, he said it was a tick and pulled it off. He said it was barely attached. We put it in alcohol. I didn't have it when I went to bed last night, and I haven't been around grass a whole lot, so it has to be one of the 4-legged members of our family who somehow brought it in. (They're not allowed out, but they sneak past us every once in a while!) DH (a veterinarian) checked them all and they're fine - nothing on them.
He got all of the tick off me - there is nothing left. Should I still go in and get checked? He isn't sure. He said usually it takes a while for them to attach, and this couldn't have been on me that long. He didn't seem too alarmed. What do you think? Should I call and stop in this afternoon? TIA!
