OT-Synvisc Injection in Knee

I am posting on this forum because I know it is made up primarily of women and I specifically wanted to talk with women who have had this done. Has anyone had this injection for osteo arthritis of the knee? If so please tell me about your experience, did it hurt much, did you have any complications, did it help with your knee pain and if so, how long did it take to work and how long did you get pain relief, did you get the one injection or the dose that they give one injection for three weeks in a row? I'd love to about anyone's experience with this, I am planning on getting this done in the next few weeks, waiting for insurance to approve. Can't say I'm really looking forward to it but it would be worth it for pain relief. Thanks, Sherrie
