I like many of Lori's tops but haven't sprung for one yet because the sizing has me a bit befuddled (isn't that such a funny word
yet applicable to my dilemma) I am also trying to determine which material will be the coolest to wear since I live in a warm climate. And while the rest of the country is having record setting cold, we are having the opposite (am not bragging at all as I truly wish it was much cooler - this doesn't bode well for a bearable summer)
Anyhow ............. any advice from Logo wearers as to which fabrics they feel are the lightest and coolest to wear. I don't want sleeveless this time of year. I prefer her longer length tops and don't personally like hi-lo hems. Something about hi-lo hemlines on anything that really doesn't appeal to me, not just Lori's creations.
I have been thinking about A232005 which is quite long with the lace hem and also her cardigan with the chiffon hem. Both look really cute and very wearable. Reviews on both seem to be great.
I agree that this type of dressing is by no mean limited to Lori or Logo ........ I have even seen it at TJ Max's this winter. It is going to be around more and more as brands add their own interpretation to it. Comfy yet fashionable styles are going to be very much "in trend" in the coming seasons. I keep hearing and reading that so Lori was really just ahead of the trend (probably why she was so successful as a stylist)
I do agree that some of the tops do not flatter all the models or all body types. Any type of style is going to look better on some than others. That's just the nature of clothing and design. Leah had a Logo hi-low top on AM Style a few Saturdays ago and it didn't look flattering on her at all, imo. I think if she had worn a longer top than that one was and avoided the hi-low hemline, it would have looked much nicer on her. She also had on fairly full jeans and a slimmer bottom might have complimented the overall look too. JMO anyway.
There is no question that Logo and similar styles are an acquired taste, just as baby doll tops that were everywhere the last few years were also an acquired taste (I love them as long as they are done well) But that is what makes us all individuals with our own sense of style. It would be terribly boring if we all wore the same styles.
