Re: OFF TOPIC-new HSN boards

It may look prettier than before- but there's still next to no activity. They have too many limitations on what you can post- only hsn vendors can be discussed! I was part of a focus group when it was recently revamped- I suggested strongly that they eliminiate the 'hsn only' subjects. I was told higher ups wouldn't go for it! With the way vendors come and go over there (worse than here!) most conversation seems to be about their longer running vendors.

Re: OFF TOPIC-new HSN boards

The set-up reminds me of twitter. I don't like the HSN-only rule. I may go and read once in a blue moon (maybe less now), but no posting. I used to post over there all the time, years & years ago.

I never even knew they had forums!

Not surprised the higher ups put the kibosh on lines other than those HSN sells. They probably view it as a sales tool for their products. It might be wise to monitor the forums to see what people are talking about, and bring in those products, if possible. I think that's what I would do. But I'm not a higher-up! :-)

I don't do twitter- but I was told the emphasis was to incorporate social media.

Funny. My id over there is the same as here and some of my haters reconized me and posted about it in the qvc forums

I consider that i have haters here to be a sign of my sanity and common sense. The crazies hate when they have to deal with people who have common sense.

I like the new boards--PLUS, their moderators actually RESPOND to issues and complaints.
