O/T...iphone/itunes....need help please.

I have a new iphone 3GS that I am syncing with my itunes. I have some apps in my itunes that I don't want on my phone (they are my daughters) how do I keep them from going onto my phone. I know with the music I can uncheck songs I don't want to sync, but can't seem to find a way to do that with the apps. Any help would be so appreciated. TIA!!
