Re: O/T Anyone Else Sick Of Winter

No, No, No! The mountains are covered with snow! It is just a beautiful landscape here. When I lived in the South I missed Winter so much! If you hate Winter look into moving to a state that doesn't have one!

Re: O/T Anyone Else Sick Of Winter

I am sick of ice and brutal winds. Love snow.

I am not looking forward to 90 degrees in the shade.

Not looking forward to an insane power bill, as I can heat cheaper.

Not looking forward to bugs, or "watching for snakes." {#emotions_dlg.ohmy}

Re: O/T Anyone Else Sick Of Winter

I'm in the Boston area, so I'm right there with OP. I have had enough of winter. The snow has been a constant but it's the bone crushing cold that bothers me the most. It was 9 degrees when I left for work this morning! I'm sick of scarfs, hats, mufflers, my UGG-like boots. My boots in general. And it's only 2/7....we still have many weeks of winter left to "enjoy".

Re: O/T Anyone Else Sick Of Winter

Being outside of Buffalo, we tend to get lousy winters but this one is just unbearable... It's been cold, warm, cold warm...now we're back to cold--plus snow and more snow... I'm totally at my wits end!!!

Last week, I was stopped at a redlight, and this guy stepped off the curb like he was going to cross-but instead started a fight with a snowball in the street--I kid you not!! He started jumping up and down on it and stomping it--and took like a totally obscenely long time to do it too--I didn't know whether to laugh and try to video it or if I should be frightened.lol Really though, I knew he had lost it when he then went back to the sidewalk where he had sat his 40oz coffee from 7-11 and proceeded to pour the screaming hot coffee on the snowball remains. {{jaw drop}} And then he just nonchalantly walked down the street in another direction......

I'm assuming he was fed up with winter as well.... haha {and probably crazy lol}

Re: O/T Anyone Else Sick Of Winter

It has been a pretty horrible winter in northwest New Jersey too. My ice grippers have been on my boots, continuously, since early January. Our stores are out of icemelt products like rock salt. We are now using water softener pellets instead I never realized you could use this and since we just got home and put it on our frozen driveway, I am hoping it works. Chopping is doing nothing since we can't get the scraper under it. Fingers crossed. There doesn't seem to be any end in sight either. I want to put away the hats, gloves boots etc.and enjoy being outside again.

Yes, yes, yes....I'm also in NYC and I can't wait until this season is behind us!! As bad as we have it, after reading some of these posts, I really feel badly for the Midwesterners who are suffering even worse conditions than us! Good luck everyone...we will eventually see the Spring!! Smiley Happy))))))

Re: O/T Anyone Else Sick Of Winter

Hey, I live in the Midwest and wishing I didn't this Winter. I'm so over it and ready for some decent weather. Really hate to complain, especially when it doesn't change a thing, but enough is enough. Way too much snow and freezing temps. Hurry up Spring/Summer....we're ready for ya!! {#emotions_dlg.thumbup1}

Re: O/T Anyone Else Sick Of Winter

I am so ready for spring! We are getting another round of ice/sleet tonight....can't recall a winter where my hands suffered so much....I am almost bathing in Shea butter everyday. We had our first round of bad ice and snow in December 7....about a month early for North Texas......and Feb is usually our coldest month so we have a long way to go.Good thing DH and I like soup because I sure have made a lot of it!
