O/T: Age Difference in Dating

Ok so this is way off topic for a beauty board, but I trust all of your opinions, so I wanted to throw this out there. There is this guy that I just started dating and he is 7 years older than me (I am 30). I have never dated a guy that was more than 3-4 years older than me and I just feel like 7 is kind of a lot. He is even in a different generation than me (gen x vs. millenial), so I am worried that we will be just too "different". Aside from this he is a really great guy and we have really great chemistry and seem compatible. Has anyone else dated someone a bit older? Any advice?
