Been thinking of trying this but I have my doubts. Has anyone had any luck with this product?

I used it religiously for 6 months on the advice of my dermatologist. No improvement whatsoever in my thinning hair. But I guess my weird hair might be an exception. I'm 77 and not gray - it just gets thinner and thinner. I'd rather have thick gray hair.

Hi @bargainsgirl and @shoesnbags -- I'm always on the lookout for things to help hair, too. Can't speak to Nutrafol specifically; but, I have read supportive information on things like pumpkin seed oil (pumpkin seeds) and soy for hair growth.

Nutrafol DOES NOT work. I was one of the first suckers when this came out years ago. No imrovement what so ever and you have to take 4 gigantic pills, that alone is a pain and they gave me an upset stomach. It sucks getting old and losing your hair after having thick wavy hair all my life.

Wow - I've thought about taking it too but the price and amount you have to take have put me off. Glad I never purchased it. I've taken Nature's Bounty Hair Skin & Nails for years - it helped my nails but I don't think my hair. Of course who knows what my hair might look like without taking it.

Try Biotin 10,000
One a day, most hairdressers swear by this to thicken up hair.
Actually tried it myself and it's definitely helpful.
Perhaps not for everyone, but it's affordable also.

Most supplements do not work well for hair growth especially when you are older. That's b/c with age hair follicles go through a natural process of miniaturization where there is less blood flow, the follicles get smaller and the hair becomes finer with less of it. The problem with miniaturization is the lack of blood flow to the follicles so that means whatever hair supplements you take have a difficult time getting to the follicles for nourishment there. That's when medications such as minoxil can help where it can help increase blood flow to the follicles by dilating the blood vessels that surround the follicles. Maybe then the hair supplements can get to work on follicular health.
ETA-
Hair-growth lasers, such as Hairmax, are designed to increase blood flow to hair follicles. But not everyone will experience more hair from using a hair laser. There are several variables that can affect their performance.

Didn't do a thing for me and it was expensive

Just a warning: do NOT take a biotin supplement if you take thyroid medication. I learned the hard way. Google it for more details.

I wanted to try Nutrafol, but I never got around to it I now use Weem plus Minoxidil 5% daily. After more than a year my hair has finally grown in areas I was thinning. My hair looks pretty good now. I am very happy with the results. I also use a little minoxidil on my eyebrows and they also look great.
Good luck. It has been a journey.
