Nirvana Black by Elizabeth and James

This has been my go to perfume for many years and always received a compliment when wearing it. It was discontinued a few years ago so I hesitate to purchase when I see it sold online-thinking it might have been sitting in some warehouse for years.

If you are familiar with the scent, can you suggest another perfume. I miss it!

Thanks so much.

I am familiar with the scent.  I've had two bottles of it but no, I can't duplicate the scent for you.  Sorry.  I just wore this over the weekend.

When I purchase makeup etc from ebay and the date isn't shown on the item, I ask the seller to send a photo with the expiration date.  I just did this with some IT Cosmetics CC+ foundation.  But it also makes a difference how it's been stored.  Like has it been in a hot storage container for two years? You can ask how it's been stored and make sure there is a money back guarantee or if your purchase is backed by eBay.

Noticed that FragranceNet has a solid perfume in this scent.  It might be less likely to lose its properties in a solid form.  This is a reputable company and I believe they store perfumes carefully.

They also have some bottles of this scent.  Maybe if you email them they can let you know their conditions.

Best of luck, Seannie

Yes I saw it too on FragranceNet and the shampoo, I've ordered before with the company and the products were fine.

@QPrincess   Do you know the notes of the perfume -- Top, Middle, Base?  That may help anyone familiar or not with something similar.

Hi KatCat- I don't know top, middle, base notes but the overall notes are of vanilla, sandalwood, and violet. It is definitely a woodsy fragrance. I always received compliments. My hesitation in ordering somewhere(like Amazon or Fragrancenet)

is that it has not been sold for several years now.

Thanks for your reply.

Thank you for your reply. I hadn't thought about the solid perfume compact but that is a great idea! I have ordered from FragranceNet over the years and never had a problem. It's just that this perfume has been discontinued for a few years.

Thanks for your reply. I don't think many are familiar with Nirvana Black. You're lucky you still have some. Enjoy it.
