Anyone use the product to recycle a hair style next day and not end up with burnt on build up you can't clean off the tool? I'm considering this purchase but use a couple of products including hairspray and don't want to spend that much only to have it be unusable to recycle my hair style. Heard that lady talk about it being okay on her hair to do that but any comments on the tool itself?

I do have this item (older model). I have shoulder length, coarse thick hair that is color treated. I only use the tool to control my style a few times a year. I bought it anticipating that I would use it more but have found it to be too drying for my hair type.

I have the older model and just ordered the new larger barrel today in the TSV. I actually use this more than I thought I would. And, especially on 2nd day hair. It works just great with day old product in my hair. I appreciate that it amps up the shine on my medium, wavy shoulder length layered and colored hair. I mostly use it to get lift at the crown and create the "bump" lift. For me, there was a learning curve in how to get the best results, but once I got the hang of it, I am glad I made the purchase!

Ditto what Jacie said. No problem with old product in hair. It did take me a little while to figure out how best to use it with my hair, but it was well worth I'll my favorite styling tool ever! For me thinking of it more as a "flat iron" rather than a curling iron (combing it through my my hair rather than rolling it) works the best. Leaves my naturally straight hair full of body and shine with no frizzies. Love it!
