Re: New Tarte TSV in January Insider

I just got this kit yesterday.. but overall I am not too happy. Smiley Sad And usually Tarte never disappoints.

I ordered the kit in tan.. and the CC primer is much darker than the actually foundation. Even if I wanted to return it and get it in the deep shade.. the primer would be really really dark.

I felt as though the foundation was really clinging to my dry skin Smiley Sad

The blush is probably the only thing that is really pretty in this kit.. I will be returning this kit tomorrow!

That's exactly what I said and thought! I really wanted to love this kit but the Tan was simply too dark on my winter skin. I then ordered the Medium and it was too light. I'm so tired of shade choices on the Q being too orange or too yellow, you can't win! Until the Q starts offering more shades in Tarte's foundations like other retailers do, I'm no longer buying. I wasted $14 in shipping having to send 2 kits back simply because the shades didn't match {#emotions_dlg.thumbdown}

Re: New Tarte TSV in January Insider

I have just received this kit yesterday and it is great. I can use the blush as a bronzer and eye shadow too. The primer has a lot of staying power. The lip gloss is a bit gummy but it does last. It is like a liquid lipstick. I am also happy that it doesn't have a minty taste to it like other Tarte lipsticks. I chose the medium foundation. It looks a bit dark in the jar but when I put it on sparingly it does blend in well with my natural color. I am happy that I converted from mineral foundation to liquid foundation. As I have become older mineral foundation does not offer the same amount of coverage that a liquid/cream foundation does.

I'm not buying. I'm irritated that my A/D was canceled. I'm cutting back on Tarte.

I already bought it or I would not be getting it either. I guarantee from now on, I will slow down on my auto delivery beauty purchases. I skipped the last shipment of my mally ez on the eyes ad after I waited a month for the silly thing. They kept pushing that one back too after other people had already received theirs

$59.96 plus shipping and handling of $6.97. I ordered it in early January when easy pay was still being offered. I am looking at the e-mail that the Q just sent out and it looks as if it is not being offered anymore.

I would love this kit, but just can't buy Tarte foundation. Too yellow for me.

Re: New Tarte TSV in January Insider

I will not pay close to $70.00 for this kit. I don't need it for one thing, it is not a true savings for another.

I just bought some quality name brand makeup items from another channel with free shipping and handling. If other places can offer free or reduced S&H why can't QVC?

I'm not paying almost $7.00 in S&H for items I may or may not like and then have to pay an additional $7.00 for a total mark up of $14.00 in the price if I decide to send it back. I certainly see how they make a profit on these offers.

Additionally, when an ingredient is 23rd on an ingredient list the effect is immeasurable. I like the idea of an "all natural" makeup company but I don't consider this company to really offer that anymore. When you change the composition of an ingredient so to such a degree as has been done here it is not truly "natural" anymore. I can get most of these ingredients in many other brands that are not advertized as natural.
