Neutrogena Moisture Smooth Color Stick

I bought 2 of these today at Walmart. Juicy Peach and Sweet Watermelon. They feel good on the lips and I really like the fruity taste. These colors are sheer but I like them for summer.

Has anyone tried these and what colors do you like? Thanks

Re: Neutrogena Moisture Smooth Color Stick

Sister Golden Hair, I have four of these that I bought some time ago. I have the berry, the plum, the raspberry (sensing a trend here?) Smile, and the raisin.

I do like them, but at some point, I thought that they were emphasizing the lines in my lips. I've had that problem with other crayon-type lip colors.

I'll try them again, though.

Thanks suzy I love to try new things and it's crazy since I sure don't need another lip product but.......

I may have to try a darker color. I look best in the pink or peach family.

Re: Neutrogena Moisture Smooth Color Stick

Hi,

Funny you should mention these as I just picked up a trio for 12.99 at BJs (w/ plum, berry and papaya shades). I have to say I'm disappointed and like the Revlon's version of the chubby crayon lip balms and stains better. The plum version had very little color payoff and I didn't care for the taste - sort of a soapy taste that I wanted to take off right away. Anyway, I'm glad you're enjoying them - they certainly are emollient and the price is right. Have a nice evening.

Re: Neutrogena Moisture Smooth Color Stick

I love these and have 4 of the colors. I am a confessed "chubbystick" addict and MUST try every single company's version of the chubby lip pencil. Of all the many brands I own, I feel like I reach for the Neutrogena ones the most. I don't mind the lack of opacity -- I prefer a juicy (but not too shiny), healthy-looking, natural-ish lip as opposed to a darker, opaque or totally matte one (except for once in a great while). These suit my needs perfectly!

Re: Neutrogena Moisture Smooth Color Stick

The 2 I bought have a peach taste. They seem to be very creamy. It said on the sign, lasts for hours, which I doubt.

griffy, now I may have to try RevlonSmile What color?

juncus, I too, like a natural look. I tell my husband that it takes a lot of money to look natural.

I appreciate the feedback.

Re: Neutrogena Moisture Smooth Color Stick

The Neutrogena "Chubby Stick" is easily the MOST PLEASANT SURPRISE purchase I ever made. I had a few CVS ExtraBucks, so I tried it despite some misgivings due to the fact that reviews mentioned it smelled fruity.

And I stay away from lip products with fragrance and/or essential oils. Turns out this smells fruity from the mango butter! No actual fragrance. Atleast, I didn't see fragrance listed on the RICH RAISIN shade I bought.

And I LOVE IT as much as my REVLON Lip Butters (REVLON is my ONLY go-to mass-market brand for the fragrance-free Super Lustrous lipsticks and the Color Burst lip butters).

The Neutrogena stick is creamy, deposits even more color than the Revlon lip butter, it does disappear after eating/drinking, but I love it so much I am going to buy other colors!

Pity the entire REVLON "crayon" lineup is heavily into essential oils; for that reason, I haven't and will not even try those! -Smiley Sad

njnj, yes, it is the mango not peach. I forgot that it had mango butter till you mentioned it.

No wonder it feels so good on my lipsSmile

Hi Again - Maybe I need to try one of the other color stick shades, maybe I'll like the taste better. As for Revlon, since you like the pink & peach shades, you might like a shade called "Romantic" which I just purchased - a vibrant peachy-pint (almost poppy) shade. This is from the Revlon balm stain line of crayons. As someone else noted, it is much more pigmented than the Neutrogena color stick so if you want just a kiss of color, this one isn't for you (although lighter shade might be fine). I need a jolt of color on my lips or I look washed out. I also tried Covergirl's version of the lip crayon and like that one, too. Thanks for your review - I am always on the hunt for the next fabulous lip color!

Re: Neutrogena Moisture Smooth Color Stick

I think I posted this somewhere else, but if you are near BJs, the Neutrogena lipcolor sticks are available there in a package of 3 for about $18. I love them, and also love the Clinique version.
