Re: Need suggestions for very lightweight, translucent setting powder for dry skin+++

Another vote for the It Cosmetics already mentioned but I don't have dry skin. You may look into one of the setting/finishing sprays, I like MAC Fix +

The setting powder I love is MAKE UP FOREVER HD Invisible Setting Powder. Sold at Sephora and lasts forever. I buff it on with a kabuki brush and I get an air-brushed look.

I've heard that Josie Maran has some hydrating powders, but I don't know if any are "invisible setting powders".

LM is a great line.

Josie Maran Luminous Coconut Liquid Finishing Powder w/ Brush $42

I'm voting for the Josie Maran. I use that one every day

I have liked Laura Mercier, IT Bye Bye Pores, and the Josie Moran Illuminating.

You have to watch the Makeup Forever HD if you are going to be photographed...you probably saw the pics of celebs who wore HD powders...

KateChopin, could you explain your comment?

I'll answer. HD powder is invisible on the skin, but shows up in flash photography. Google Angelina Jolie Powder and you'll see the photos. You can't see the powder in person; only in the pictures because of the flash.

Thanks for the explanation Nighthawks! Much appreciated. Off to google.... Smiley Wink

I'm thinking of trying it myself for that price

OT -- but do you have any idea when they are getting the Billy B stuff back in? Especially the eyelash curler?

sorry Mar but I don't know what that is. Is that another line that they carry?to be honest I signed up for the app but I have yet to purchase anything. I was curious about those $650.00 brushes! but I may actually spring for the no color powder :-)

Tarte Smooth Operator , Laura Mercier and plain old cornstarch. On ebay there is a Jasmine Water Moisture Powder by BRTC.

the Neutrogena finishing powder is virtually imperceptible but leaves a lovely matte finish. I purchased it because I'm finding any sunscreen leaves me looking shiney and a tad greasy
