Need suggestions for 2 lip products: moisturizing lip liner & lip brush

I posted another question about how to avoid getting a ring around your lips from your lipstick even though I'm not wearing lip liner. 2 suggestions were to use an invisible lip liner & the other was to apply lipstick w/a lip brush. My lips are very prone to drying and I don't need lip liner, but am willing to try one. However, I've yet to find one that doens't further dry out my lips. Suggestions? Also, any particular brand for a lip brush to use? I prefer a retractable one so I can carry it in my purse. TIA, Gloria
